Best restaurant in the Chichester area by far.The 48 hour cooked brisket is really good and served with delicious chunky fries and home made coleslaw..The pork belly dim sum starter was cleverly prepared with great attention to balance of flavours. The chef is obviously talented and knows food.

My wife and I had dinner here this evening and hugely enjoyed it. The service was impeccable, the welcome friendly and smiling and the food was excellent both in presentation and taste. As soon as we were seated we were brought menus swiftly followed by a bottle of iced water and a 'bucket' of bread. For starters we I had... More

We enjoyed an excellent evening at this delightful pub. Unfortunately so did everyone else so the noise was very overpowering! Our dinner was very good and the service was friendly and helpful. We will certainly return when we are next in the area.

I’d wanted to dine at the Richmond Arms for ages as it has a terrific reputation locally. The pub is renowned for its rather quirky and unusual menu so expect lots of interesting ingredient pairings throughout the menu - some intriguing… others just downright odd and a little bit “oh no, I don’t think so”. We chose our starters off... More

We have heard many good things about this restaurant but until last night, hadn't sampled its delights. It certainly exceeded all our expectations. A thoroughly brilliant evening with utterly delicious food. I don't think we have had such a wonderful meal in simply ages. Among some of the things we ate were crispy squid, slow cooked brisket, pheasant and absolutely... More

Our party of 4 was very impressed by the quality of the food and service. I had fly caught salmon it was the best meal I had during that last visit to the area.

Visited this place a second time today. The inventiveness of the menu and the quality of the food was fantastic - again. I had wonderfully cooked seabass with gingered squash, sweetcorn frittata, and a coconut and macadamia nut sambal. Amazing. My wife had goat - for the first time in her life - and that was amazing too.

This has been on my list of places to try for some time, and I must say it was well worth the wait. The place itself is quite compact but comfortable inside, with rustic dining tables and chairs reflecting the spirit of the old pub (I've fond memories of drinking here some years ago). The menu is varied, with a... More

We were recommended to come here - it was full, so it clearly suits some people. Dining out is partly about food, but also about the experience. The food encompasses a variety of less common dishes, successfully prepared, but 'nouvelle cuisine' in quantity and ''pretty-pretty' in presentation. Serving on slate, and bread boards is distinctly 1990's. Value for money in... More

I have dined at the Richmond Arms several times since it reopened as an upmarket bistro pub. In fact it is really a restaurant with a bar. The food is superb - all locally sourced and very simply prepared. Big steaks, local game, very fresh fish, etc. If they do specialise in anything it is very slow roast dishes -... More
