Sunday lunch

Was told this was one of the best places to go for Sunday lunch in the area. They were not wrong! choice of beef, pork or lamb the time we went but had starters first that were delicious ( i haven't had a scotch egg for years and never like that). Mains were well cooked and a good range of... read more

Last minute booking, just off the ferry from Bilbao, based on Trip Advisor recommendations. Met with friends, also from Spain, who happened to be in the area. Rustic pub setting, with a nice atmosphere and nicely decorated. Good range of local cask ales. Food list eclectic, with influences from Asia, France and other locations, including the UK. Fresh produce used... More

Stopped here for lunch with my wife and 9yr old daughter having read other's reviews and we were not disappointed in the slightest. We had the Crispy Squid with Chilli Sauce to start, followed by 1x Ribeye steak, 1x Sticky, smoky Beef Brisket and Crispy chicken goujons - all were cooked to perfection and served in w very timely manner....no... I took my mother and her best friend here for a Sunday lunch on her birthday. The menu was both interesting and well executed. Sunday roasts were delicious and vegetarians and pescetarian diners are also well catered for. Unfortunately, the service was unbearably slow at every stage which was a real shame as the food was great. Great selection of... More

My wife, myself and friends stayed at The Richmond Arms overnight whilst visiting the local 'Chilli Fiesta'. My wife and I had a nice lunch whilst waiting for our friends to arrive and then checked into our rooms. There are only two. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable with Wonderfull spacious bathrooms equipped with roll top bath and... More

I love pub food when it's done well and with care, and The Richmond Arms delivers this with spades. Well presented and inviting food that tastes as good as it looks. We had the Sunday menu and were expecting as such so no issues with a limited menu as we all love roast meals. The bread, freshly baked if a... More

Returning to this delightful eatery for the 3rd time in a year! Enjoying a late Saturday lunch. Yet again a delicious meal with great service. The chorizo scotch egg is to die for. The sticky beef brisket with thick cut chips was a real winner and no room left for dessert! This is one eatery which consistently delivers. You cannot... More

We have eaten at some of the best gastro pubs in the UK but this one is the best so far. We were late making a reservation and only got in with a 6:30 reservation agreeing to return the table at 8:30. This always leaves us feeling a bit under pressure but we needn’t have worried. The server mad us... More

Wow! Just returned from a brilliant stay at the Richmond Arms. We stayed in room 1 which can also be used as a family room. The room is tastefully redecorated and has all you need ie hair dryer, use of iron and ironing board, even a fan. The bed is amazing. Laying down is like being swallowed up in a... More
