We were staying at the Fairmont Orchid but walked to the Canoe House one night. Our kids opted for room service, so it was even more of a opportunity to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. I requested a outside table with a "view" and I don't think there was a better one available! We were as close to the... More

My husband and I stopped in for dessert after watching the sun set on the beach in front of the Canoe House. We decided on the spur-of-the-moment to stop in for dessert. We had no reservations and were a little under-dressed. The staff treated us like we were the most important guests there. The dessert (a goat-cheese fruit tart) was... More

We had been looking forward to eating at this restaurant after so many wonderful meals during our vacation. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. My husband's fish was

Everything came together for the Canoe House the night we were there. The service was absolutely great and all of the dishes were excellent. The current chef is talented and his team performed brilliantly. The menus is diverse and the wine list is very good. Get a table near the front so you can enjoy the views and the fresh... More

Amazing service. Wine list was only OK, but food was fantastic and setting was lovely. I preferred the Canoe House to Browns at the Fairmont. The setting is nicer, the food was better, the service was better. It felt relaxed. Be sure to make a reservation!

Second time here equally enjoyable. The location sells itself but the quality of food keeps you coming back. The attention to detail on everything from the salads (which the Cesar was awesome) through dessert show one thing - pride. Get the Creme Brûlée. OMG Live background acoustic music is always and excellent touch and it was well placed with adequate... More

The canoe house was a pleasant surprise, especially after reading some disappointing reviews, but nothing is ever perfect ;-P we really enjoyed our dinner, and actually came back a second night. The seafood dishes were excellent, the ribeye was outstanding, and the kids dishes were perfect! The views are amazing and were blessed with a spectacular sunset dinner our second... More

I show up at this place and let them know of our reservation, "Is it under another name?" No it's under my last name. After five minutes of questioning the hostess says, " you are 30 minutes early." Like it is my fault she didn't recognize our name. We stop at the bar and get watered down coke. We waited... More

When you are looking for a great view, delicious dinner, normal portions and terrific service go to CanoeHouse. Definitely lived up to a yummy farm to table menu. We selected the restaurant for our last night in Hawaii based on the trip advisor reviews. So happy we did. Our server Rosie was the best! Thanks for a great evening!
