Nice setting, good food and attention

Lovely setting, good attention and food. We sat at a "front-line" table looking over the ocean, though it turned fresh because of the evening winds. We recommend it. Any fish dish is good.

This is a top notch place. The views, food and service were outstanding. Our server was about the best I have ever experienced. Our meal was never rushed and we were made to feel we could enjoy ourselves as long as we liked. Exceptional from every aspect!!!

Complements to the chef, the Mahi was out of this world. My wife best summed it up by saying it's "like a party in the mouth" the curry sauce was amazing!!!

As you would expect the sunset from here is what it is all about. The abalony appetizer was good and the rack of lamb was cooked perfectly. This is not one of those restuarants that I would eat at all the time but I would recommend this to my friends looking for a good dinner with the perfect sunset view.

Sunset on the water with wonderful drinks and amazing food. The chef takes great care in making a memorable evening. This is a beautiful oceanside restaurant and allows for romance to overflow! Oh and add amazing fruity tropical drinks, wink wink...

Generally, restaurant hotels are overrated and overpriced. However, the CanoeHouse is an exception to the average food one generally receives at a resort. The fish, risotto, desserts, and drinks were all fantastic! Our waiter understood that we'd had a long day flying and made sure to get us our food without trying to sell us the entire menu. There were... More

Over the last 15 years we have eaten at the Canoe House many times. The setting is romantic and sunsets unspoiled. It saddens me to say the food and service were not good. In April we dined there and the food was so bad it was sent back with no desire to reorder. When we tried to get a check... More

CanoeHouse is an fine-dining establishment, for adult groups and couples. The food is inspired and blends wonderful Hawaiian ingredients. We especially enjoyed the lilikoi sauce as part of the appetizer salad. Unfortunately, the Mana Lani Hotel itself is rather old and stale, architecturally-speaking. So insist on a table outside and as close to the foot bridge as possible, so your... More

The setting could not be better! One of the most romantic settings on the island. We went two times, the first time the food and the service were both outstanding! The second time, however, was different. The food was not as good (even the prawn and the abalone appetizers we re-ordered). Our waiter was sick and kept coughing into his... More
