We've been to a lot of restaurants during our holiday on Malta, but this one was by far the best. Delicious food(from appetisers to desserts and literally everything inbetween including the winelist),great service and wonderful atmosphere. (quite inexpensive for such high standard food aswell in my opinion).

Excellent food cooked to perfection. The chef creates fresh dishes daily and are delicious. In addition the daily creation is well prepared and presented. I recommend that you choose from the specialities of the day. It is a pleasure eating at this restaurant.

This is a restaurant for the winterperiode, as the owner said to me. In the summer people tent to want to sit outside, something not possible yet here. (The owner say they will have a roof terrasse from 2015, serving barbque, and light salads) The food was ok but not special, in any way. I had a Paella, that was... More

Took a boat to Gozo for dinner on the final night of the trip, wish we had an extra night to taste more from the menu. This place was recommended by locals & is by far the best meal I've had on a holiday so far! The traditional fish broth was delicious, prawn starter cooked at the table as fresh... More

Delicious food, beautifully cooked. The only problem was there were too many delicious choices - I couldn't try them all. The beer battered hake was superb. Despite being very full, we had to have a dessert, which was fantastic. The service was perfect - friendly, attentive and courteous. And the price was very reasonable for the wonderful quality. Would definitely... More

Sadly it is not often the case that you can appreciate good service on Gozo, at the L-Ankra Restaurant you can! Really a great host! The starter(Grouper Ravioli with fresh Tuna on Top) was one of the best pasta dishes I had in the last years. The Main course(Duck Breast) was slightly overcooked but with a great sauce and sides.... Finally decided to go visit this restaurant and I wasn't dissapointed! The starters the other party and I ordered were the mushrooms and the soup of the day which was lamb, both were very delicious. We had ribeye and fillet for the main and were cooked to perfection, and very tasty. Although we were both very full we couldn't help... More

On our last night of our stay we decided to go to L-Ankra, unfortunately we had been to so many great restaurants over the week this may have affected our experience here. The food was good but was not on par with other food we have had. Sitting near the front window in the hot weather meant gnats were present... More

The waiter who is one of the owners is the best I have ever seen. He was on his own, the restaurant was quite busy and he was a joy to watch. Flawless. Very impressed. The food was great but the portions are huge ( and we can eat!). I had the special black linguine with cuttlefish for starter which... More
