Just came from a dinner at IL MITHNA situated in MELLIEHA,Malta. For starters I ordered risotto with asparagus which although taste wasn't t that bad it was undercooked and one could feel some of the rice still very hard to chew.As a main course I opted for a fresh SEA BASS,which tasted ,like nothing because it was tasteless. To make matters worse... We chose this restaurant as we saw the nice settings the day before. We had the set menu (available until around 7pm), but they also gave us some snacks before meal and a small glass of liqueur at the end. We had tomato and ginger soup as starter, tuna steak as main and a tart for desserts. The starter and... More

Loved this lil place, the restaurant is very pretty and romantic. Perfect for an intimate dinner. Tables inside and outside are both great. I cannot fault the food, using fresh local ingredients we found it hard to choose. The goats cheese is a must!

We had there out first dinner in Malta and I was not dissapointed. Food is very good (I had the stuffed rabbit and my friend - the seabass) and I particularly loved the dessert - crumbled apples with cinnamon ice cream. I room a rose wine, a Maltese one - very good. As starter we had the local goat cheese which was really delicious. My husband had the grilled tuna as main course, so good ( I tried it)!!!!! That I can highly recommend. I had roasted chicken which was very good, juicy, not dry at all. The dishes are made of good, fresh ingredients. The wine list is wide enough for... More

Delicious, fresh and creative dishes, above the average standard. Especially loved the local goat cheese starter. Chocolate pudding is a must try, worth waiting for the preparation! Overall was a very memorable, good experience.

Very high quality Maltese restaurant. If you are looking form something local & chic, here you are! The restaurant is built in an ancient mill. Tables outside and inside are just breathtaking. The boss is very kind and full of consideration. Food is delightful, wine is excellent, service is perfect.

Very nice place with a romantic back garden where You can sit without too much noise from the traffic. Overall the food was nice, and i liked my chicken with mustard. Did not like the "soup of the day". It was tomato soup with ginger, but it did not really taste of much.My better half had spring rolls for starters... More

We had a very enjoyable meal here while on holiday in Mellieha - both of us had the rabbit stuffed with chicken and pistachio which was delicious. There were also some complimentary extras e.g. shot of local liquor after our meal, which made the experience all the more of a treat. Only flaw was that the service was pretty slow... More
