Established for ages and it shows!

We've been to the island many times now and I've always walked past as I'm fairly loyal to Gran Italia but this time a very friendly and smiley waited coaxed us in on the premise of a family run business. We were well looked after and the staff were friendly, if you ask them what is good they are... read more

We thought La Bodega was mid-ranged restaurant since the tables are along the street and looked cheap. We realized our mistake after we read the menu. Every main dishes are quite pricey. Our kids had crepes which were quite tasty (with roasted almonds). I asked the waiter for suggestions since I could not decide between two dishes with squid. He... More

I went to the La Bodega with my wife and 3 girls. My wife and i had the grilled sardines and we dared not eat all of them as they were mushy indicating they had been dead too long befor being cooked. MY 3 Girls each had a pizza that was literally drowning in cheese they ate less than half... More

Set amidst a number of other eating establishments near to the light-house this place is worth seeking out if you are looking for good food at reasonable prices. We weren't particularly hungry but had very good gazpacho and a couple of other dishes. Incidentally, the party on the table next to us had what looked to be a really good... More

Arrived at Sunday lunchtime thought we would try the steaks we were in a party of 4.When the steaks arrived they were not very big,and did not come with any side vegetables apart from chips, would have been nice to have a few vegetables with the dish which we always had at other restaurants we did not return to this restaurant.

This is a tourist-trap - rip off kind of place. 1 (one) not to big a fish loaded with garlic to share with the 2 of us, plus 5 boiled potatoes for 48 euro's. A bloody shame that's what it is. Just don't go there!

We have visited this restaurant for several years now. Always look forward to it- the.lamb shoulder in particular. We are always assured a very warm welcome. Usually given some tapas on the house whilst waiting for the freshly cooked food & then offered a drink on the house following our meal. Food here is superior to that of the more... More

Probably the worst place I have ever dined at. Service started off well. Pizza was cheese on a bit of flat bread and even though told we could have a small one for child an adult size one came out. My grilled chicken breast and chips was inedible. The chicken was cooked in what tasted like dirty oil. Absolutely disgusting.... More

I am guilty of being a serial visitor to this restaurant. My girlfriend is from Gran Canaria and her family brings me to eat here at every opportunity. The owner is always very welcoming and the food is amazing which for me is the most important thing in a restaurant. I love its old spanish style and how unassuming it... More
