Located next to the old fortress of Tossa de Mar, Can Simon is a wonderful nouvelle cuisine restaurant with a very traditional Mediterranean flavour. Restaurant has 1 Michelin star, it is well deserved. We took classic sample menu and were not disappointed, exceptional service and food with small sampling size portions, which was good. One negative: bottled water had a smell after being in the glass for 5 minutes. We brought it to the attention of the waiter: he casually dismissed it on glass... More

On holiday in Tossa De Mar and decided to visit Can Simon Michelin starred restaurant. We was lightly apprehensive when we arrived as we have a three year old and the restaurant was very peaceful and quiet, however the staff was very friendly and made us feel at ease, and was lovely with our son. On arrival we was greeted... More

We tried the classical menu (65eur) and it was amazing. When we arrived we got a glass of cava, and before the food we got a plate of four different apetizers. The dishes were superb, especially the poached egg with anchovies and foam, and the canelloni-chicken. Lovely desserts, and the best petit fours we've ever tried. We found the service... More

On our last night on the Costa Brava we decided to try one more Michelin starred restaurant. Of the 3 we dined at this was by far the best. The town of Tossa de Mar is perfectly quaint, with its Medieval Tower overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Among the tourist driven restaurants catering to families with 29 Euros set 3 course... More

If you want a really good diner in Tossa; this is the restaurant to go. Not the cheapest in town, but that is easy with al those touristy Quite cheap simple food served in most restaurants here. This restaurant is small, very good personal service, fine culinair dining. Spanish and catalan food inspired but refined. You are welcomed with cava... More

This was one of the best meals I've had in my life! My only regret was that we didn't save this for our last night in Tossa. This is definitely the get dressed up/fancy meal of the trip. It was expensive, but worth it! Don't worry about having to sit outside, the inside is beautiful and comfortable. The food was... More

I had dinner at La Cuina de Can Simon one night in late May and cannot praise it enough. I ordered two dishes – an absolutely luscious crab soup with finely minced vegetables and a perfectly prepared seared and very rare loin of tuna with vegetable garnishes and drizzled sauce. I was given multiple amuse bouche (all very tasty), bread... More

Ate here last July while on a short visit to lovely Tossa. We booked for the Friday evening and were immediately offered a table on the terrace which was lovely as you could see all the people walking up and down. We ordered a starter, main course and dessert off the A La Carte. We got a free glass of... More
