Was recommended this palce forthe steak and location. Location is great. It's is a forested area which is really beautiful. Food is average, service is SLOW, as in a tortoise moves faster. Very diappointing for Beligium where the food is generally good.

Last time I rated this restaurant as very good, but I have been back twice since and service is slipping badly. In June we came on a Saturday and only Junior staff was present. The open fire on which te meat is prepared was not on. The 'young inexperienced' waitress showed up once to take our drink and food order... More

Every time we visit the Ardennes we try to have lunch here. Lunch is ongoing so no hurry to get here on time. Cooking on the open fire and the lovely surroundings gives this restaurant a homely atmosphere. Stayed overnight this time. Good room, only without own toilet, but that is only inconvenience. Great staff who understand my limited French... More

On arrival there was no reception area for booking in. Several other couples were trying to book in to the same room as we were. Eventually we were sent to a "house" with bedrooms on the other side of Spa. No facilities whatsoever. A twin room with a sink, no tv, restaurant, bar, en-suite and it closed up completely on... Restaurants in Spa aren't good value on the whole (mussels and chips at 22E common!). This is a few miles up the hill in the woods, and more Ardenne-like than most. Choose carefully and you'll have a good meal. BUT check that your menu has the full wine list, as the wine by the flask is drinkable and better value... More

Nice surroundings and terrace. Paté was too old, rosé very mediocre quality. Worst was the entrecote. Ordered as medium rare, it was served well done. Wenn asked to correct this, it was reheated and the same meat came back even more grey. Wenn asked to correct this, an irritated cook came and said that I would have to prepare my... More

Apparently many historic figures including Peter the Great have visited this well to take the waters, but there was so much iron in it it was like drinking blood. The great thing about it was the walk up the hill through the beautiful little valley following the stream.

I made a reservation the day before. The owner told me there were a lot of places available. Upon arrival at the agreed timing the same lady I had on the phone was, much to my surprise, extremely arrogant and told me there was no place anymore. I had to find an alternative restaurant because she was so unfriendly... This... More

The drive alone is a very pleasant one - countryside driving never fails to excite me. The restaurant is in the idle of a forest so one can walk either before - to whet the appetite - or after the meal - to burn the calories. In the restaurant one finds a 15th century well in a small courtyard. Bruno... More
