Located in a period-perfect Belle Epoque home, I wanted to like this place. But ultimately it was a huge disappointment. The bottle of red wine that we ordered was off, and it took a little bit of diplomacy to convince the hostess we were dissatisfied, and to obtain a replacement (which wasn't much better). The place was very crowded, as... More

Truly an outstanding meal at an excellent restaurant on a slow Tuesday night. A party of 8 Germans, a couple in the other room, and myself. a lone American on business spending a night in Spa. Choose the 3 course meal with wine. Appetizer was Taboule aux petits legumes et tomato verde. Troncon de Brosme (Tusk from Iceland, a cod... More

We had a great evening here. The ambiance, the food and the personnel was excellent. I definitely will come back next time I'm in Spa. Thank you for everything.

A group of us on a chilly Monday night in November enjoyed a top quality creative three course meal for €35 per person - unbelievable! OK, we spent a bit on wines, but at that meal rate, that's ok. And the place was full. It's a lovely small house with great attention to detail. I agree with other reviewers that... More

For the sixth time we visited l'Art de vivre in Spa. Again we were not disappointed !!! This time we chose the 50 euro menu ... wine was 25 euro extra per person but we ordered 2 bottles of wine ourselves. We are convinced that we can choose better wines for the same budget and we will rarely order a... More

You must have time on your hands to enjoy this restaurant. The food is in general very good, the service is effective but the delivery is slow. The chef takes his time decorating each individual dish (and I get redoing many!!) so, the wait between courses is long and gets irritating. But, maybe, I am wrong about it..after all when... More

Food was average, under the expectations. It was beautiful, a piece of art, but it didn't taste nearly as good as it looked. Service was very very slow, over two hours for a three-course dinner, and the restaurant was not even full. I guess the chef spent too much time decorating the plates.

Maybe it was a special day or maybe the cook had a good day but this was the best meal in a restaurant that I have had in a long time. Don't miss it.

In a very nice house in Spa, with ambiance. It had the "wow" factor. We had the menu and it was well balanced and good. Very good value for money. I would go again!!!

We had lunch here with 2 teenagers (daughter had just finished a language camp in Spa). Nice restaurant, friendly personel. We had the Source menu, explained by the chef himself. Everything was as expected with wonderfull Coquilles Saint Jacques on a spuma of cocos and citron. Even our teenagers liked the food. We had two demi-bottles of wine (Saint-Veran &... More
