I tend to evaluate the food quality of a brasserie by having the shrimp croquettes as a starter. And yes, once again this proves to be a perfect parameter. The Bristol's shrimp croquettes were of top quality and it turned out that everything else coming on the table last sunday night was equally of top quality. We were a party... More

Since i discovered Bristol last year, it is my favorite address for a night out at the belgian sea side. Bristol, is located in the very charming Knokke (Belgium hot spot on the coast), on the "dijk" next to the sea. The service is great, the place is well curated and nice, the food is delicious boosting very fresh products... More

We have here several times and we always love it. The fish menu is great and desserts are great. Looking forward to go back soon.

It may have been a 'brasserie' at some time, but it surely is a fine dining place right now. It took us several attempts to get in ... now we understand why. It is rare to find such quality and service for such moderate prices in Belgium's premium coastal town (admittedly at the outskirts). No menu, 'à la carte' only,... More

Tried to book a table for two on a saturday evening for my birthday, but the brasserie was already fully-booked several days in advance. So we choose for Sunday lunch instead, and they didn't disappoint. We went for a couple of classics ... shrimp croquette appetizer and sole for the main dish ... both were just perfect. In addition the... More

A very good kitchen where you see the hand of the chef, a previous sous-chef of Bartholomeus, a star restaurant next door. There is a classic and a "modern" menu. But even in the "classic" which has my preference you get this "little special touch". The "tomate crevette"; THE speciality of the Belgian coast, is extraordinary creative in both presentation... This restaurant is relatively recent and already established as a great place. Absolutely justified !!! Whether choosing from the suggestions or the set menu you will receive very fresh and creatively prepared dishes. Service is friendly and perfect. Also the little nibbles with the apéritif or with the coffee at the end are very good. Been there a few times... More

Some interior designer did a great job in this place. You also get a splendid view of the grey Belgian coast and there are some forgotten pictures on the wall from Belgian’s award winning photographer Stephan Vanfleteren. The picture in front of the bar hung a bit weird though. The menu is more than decent, I understand why this is... More
