we visited this seafood restaurant on the recommendation of the owner of the Alfa Hotel where we were staying [he booked for us which seems a must as it was busy and we had to wait a while but this was no problem as we had a drink beforehand, excellent local beer recommended by mine hosts daughter, lovely lady very... My friend invited me to have lunch at this very established 'institution' of sea food. He picked the € 30 menu which includes fish soup, an ensemble of different sea shell food and a dessert. As a surprise with the aperitif there was delicious haring and cucumber, prepared by the house. The menu consisted of fish soup -which was excellent... More

We wanted a special meal on our last night in Belgium, and were lucky enough to try this place, having seen it on tripadvisor. We called in without booking on a Sunday evening, and they found us a table (family of four). We were fortunate to have gone there early, as the place soon filled up. The owner helped us... More

We walked 1 km to try this place - it sounded great. We got there at 9:00. Their website says they are open until 11:00. When we got there, the owner grouchily shook his head and said (in dutch) "too late". Apparently he just wanted to close. I am not impressed. That was our last night in Blankenberge and I... More

Excellent food for a fair price. Lots of seafood: cold and warm. The price is not expensive but fair for what You get. The grilled langoustines are delicious. Nice atmosphere: You'll see very different things in the interior and always have something to look at. First visit here after hearing lots of great things from lots of people and it's... More

Simply delicious. Great quality for modest price. Friendly and personal service. Real must-do! And the rest is blablabla. (Must fill up to 100 characters)

We made a last minute decision to go to Blankenberge and were lucky to get a table here. If it wouldn't have been for the reservation, we would have been deterred by the outside look. Its' somewhere between a euphemistic rustique and shabby... The inside though is, as other reviewers wrote, different from the ordindary Blankenberge restaurant. After some discussions... More

Michel's place (maitre D) is the place to be if you want fresh fish in Blankenberge. Any dish on the menu will not disappont you, ever! Michel is an amateur copper welder/artist and some of his fabrications are 'inspiring'. However, the food is top prio here! As a recommendation, don't go for the house white, but have a look at... The entrance is perhaps not so inviting, the interior is really original with wood and a big artistic accent (of the owner himself, a little bit Gaudini style!). But once you 're here, the taste of pure regional and old fashioned dishes...with a touch of originality...and this based on the best and most fresh fish you can imagine... There is... More
