The Purlepaus is a typical tyrolean restaurant. you can enjoy all the typical dishes as well as beer and wine of the area. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but the waiting time is well spent when you appreciate the quality of the food. The only thing to say is that for some reason the smells coming from the... More

I went here for a few times with my family. And I never got disappointed here. Everything is just fine. The stuff is very nice, the food very good and the restaurant itself is also really handsome. In summer or spring you could enjoy to have a seat on the terrace. The kitchen has a very big range, from traditional... More

We are staying at hotel Gisela and they give you a special deal to take to this restaurant. My teenage son wanted basis chicken from the kids menu and they kindly gave him a larger serve. I had their schnitzel which was fantastic, together with the best side salad I have had in my life! It was a mix of... More

Came here for dinner recently upon reading good reviews on trip advisor. As they are renowned for their Flammkuchen (essentially pizza with cream cheese instead of tomato sauce), that is what we ordered and it was excellent, as were the salads and desserts. The one area in which this restaurant was lacking was the service. It was difficult to get... More

The Purlepaus is certainly one of the best ranked and known restaurants in Kufstein. Located centrally in Kufstein's town square, the restaurant is a mandatory passage point for tourists. I recently had lunch with two friends at the Purlepaus. We sat inside in one of the typically decorated rooms with a very nice atmosphere and ordered two delicious specials of... More

This restaurant is located just below the Festung. There is a good selection of food and our choices were excellent with lovely flavours. My desert (which was big enough to share) was a 'torte' of pears, nuts and cranberries - it was absolutely delicious.

We had lunch here on a very cold Sunday in February and this was a welcoming place to eat. Its in the pedestrianised area and is very close to the fortress. The goulash my wife had was superb and I had a very tasty pasta dish with veal. Like many Austrian places the food and drink were superb value. The... More

A nice restaurant at the bottom of the footpath from the Festung, on the pedestrianised street. Friendly, helpful staff. Good variety and quality of food.

After touring Kufstein Castle we were hungry and thirsty and decided to stop in because it was right at the base of the castle entrance, Usually places situated similarly are tourist traps. This is not, although it clearly caters to tourists. The menu had something everybody could find something to their liking. I had vegetarian dumpling salad that was delicious.... More
