We found this place on trip advisor after spending most of the day walking round Rome in 36 degree heat. We were welcomed in and shown the cool beautiful underground cave and chose a table. After an exhausting day in the italian heat this place was absolutely perfect! Chilled beer, delicious wine, and wonderful food! The staff we're extremely friendly... More

Kind staff and good quality food and porchetta. Nice wine of the house and their wine biscuits are exquisite

It has been an amazing experience. Quality food and delicious wine. One of the best 'fraschetta' in Rome. Strongly recommended.

We loved the fact that this place is an old wine cellar (a cave) and that the menu is unique. We went there for lunch and had a platter of mixed cured meats and another one of mixed local cheeses and sun dried tomatoes. Simple, high quality products for an informal style of lunching. They gave us so much food... More

As we couldn't read the menu we were a bit unsure what to order so the food, while tasty, wasn't really what we would have chosen if we had known what was on offer. Given that most of the customers were Italian and probably not as poorly sighted as our aging selves we are perfectly ready to accept it is... More

You better search for this restaurant as we did, its worth it. Just ask for the local plate (€15) and get an variety of specialties. Not only let yourself be surprised by the food, also the location us unique! Ideal to cool down after a hot day. Let them know you find them by Tripadvisor and maybe you'll get a... More

Excellent food in a very scenic setting and at an affordable price. Highly recommendable (and this review comes from a person who was born in this area and knows many other fraschette!).

If you are in Rome and visit Frascati - don't miss out on this place! It's a hidden treasure in a small side street while going up the hill to the city centre. We live in Rome and I have to say this is seriously one of the best places we have ever been. The place is quite unique -... More

A truly unique style of dining, this cellar/grotto environment of Osteria Trinca. Definitely unseen before. We stopped here at lunch time on our way to Tuscany and had a platter of mixed cured meats and another one of mixed local cheeses and sun dried tomatoes. Having worked in Frascati for many years I discovered this nice little place since its birth. The quality of food is very good: various kinds of hams ("prosciutto crudo and cotto in Italian"), many kinds of cheese, good bread or "bruschettas", excellent olive oil, good wine produced by the owner. The inside is pleasantly cool even during the summer, but... More
