Best and freshest seafood for a 50 mile radius

This restaurant loves its seafood and it shows. Excellently prepared - lots of stuff off-menu if you ask and inventive recipes that concentrate on the fish rather than any fancy sauces. Two of shared a Turbot that had been caught that morning - heaven. A little difficult to find and quite small... read more

Il Timone is a true treasure. Massimo makes you feel welcome and offers high quality fresh seafood at a very affordable price. My wife our two sons and I weren't sure what to order for our meals, Massimo suggested we sample his creations which were varied and delicious. The simple but tasty delights were accompanied by a superior white wine of... This restaurant serves original and very delicious food. There is a menu, but the best dishes are those recommended by the owner with a kind heart who is ready to present the best and the most varied sea food. I often travel on my own and eating could be a weird experience, but I would never hesitate to come back... More

Thursday in February, it's not going to be a riot. The amuse bouche and the complimentary Prosecco introduced us to the proprietor, that helped. We discussed the menu and requested to be directed by him. Our input was limited to the type of main course required and all worked out well. Cold fishy bits of salmon, bass, swordfish and octopus... This is a great small place, somewhat off the main streets in Frascati. Family run restaurant with super good seafood and fish. It´s so good that we have never went for anything else than seafood or fish, even though we´ve been back many times. Service is refreshingly personal and you get informed about what´s available for the day. Simply try... More

Staff were friendly but took advantage of me as a solo guest with limited Italian. Food was OK and of medium quality. White wine was better than Frascati average but waiter brought me 750ml as a single guest.

We were in Frascati for a week and went here on the first evening, based on the reviews, and then returned twice. This really is a wonderful experience: very good food (emphasis on fish), good wine, friendly service. It helps to have menu Italian as the owner (who is charming) does not speak English. There is a superb starter with... More

We decided to try this restaurant last night and we were not disappointed. Small complimentary canapes and quality Prosecco were brought immediately. We chose a starter of cold and warm fish/ seafood, which was superb, carbonara dish, grilled fish, meat in lemon sauce and mixed fried fish/seafood with roast potatoes and salad, followed by deserts of chocolate tarts filled with... We went as a family of 6 after reading reviews of Trip Advisor. We were brought complimentary canapés which is a delightful welcoming touch. Plus a pre dinner drink for the adults. The pastas were excellent. Especially the lemon pasta and the prawn pasta. The grilled fish was sweet and delightful. Coperto (price per head) is something I am unsure... More

We stayed in Frascati for a week and ate out in different restaurants each day. This was the best one for both quality of food, service and value for money. The staff were very helpful and polite, the food was authentic Italian local cuisine. It is mainly a fish restaurant and has several dishes that you won't find in other... More
