Fabulous food

We opted to dine here as it was close to our hotel and we wanted a change from Spanish food. We received more than we expected. The decor is warm and intimate. All the dishes were tried (5 different ones) were truly delicious, and the service was casual but good. It might be a bit of a wait if... read more

This place sucks! It is by far the worst Morrocan food and restaurant I have tried in my life. Why? 1- the service is slow, prepare to wait one hour for your food. 2- the hummus is watered down with no flavor and was served with soft tortillas and pieces of baguette ( which they charge afterwards 1.00€ for &... We went here on the recommendation of the manager at our hotel (one of many fine suggestions she made), and I'm certainly glad we did. One of our challenges on our trip through Andalusia was finding good vegetarian fare for one of our group, while keeping the carnivores happy. Café Babel was a hit all around, and as we're not... We got a welcome break from the traditional touristy restaurants in Spain when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Great food, had the Falafels and Hummus and Vegetarian Quinoa dish, all healthy, flavorful and delicious. The host/owner had a very interesting international music list playing in the background, which transports you to a different place. Very friendly host. All in... More

Although the food we ate throughout the Spanish Southwest was almost always quite delicious, it was nice to have a Moroccan meal at this little comfortable restaurant. The appetizers were fine, the couscous excellent, and the owner, who spoke pretty good English, a terrific guy. He also had a killer soundtrack of blues, country folk/blues, and African music going. There was... More

We just returned from a family vacation in Andalusia Spain. We read about Cafe Babel on tripadvisor and in a guide book. We found ourselves in Arcos de la Frontera and stopped in for lunch. The meal was one of the highlights of our trip. Being that my husband is of middle eastern descent, we are familiar with middle eastern... More

After being in Spain and Portugal for awhile it was really nice to change up the type of food we were eating and have some Moroccan food. This place is great and has great food. The husband speaks great English and can help explain everything on the menu. The baba ghanoush was excellent.

A solo traveller, I stumbled into Babel having endured hectic day. I had a delicious meal and the waiter/owner was most helpful in giving advice about places to see and where to hear good music. I returned several times and really enjoyed my meals.

We walked in to Cafe Babel because we were hungry, and Moroccan food seemed like a nice detour from the typical Tapas. The simple atmosphere reminded us of many places that cater to tourists, so we weren't expecting anything special in terms of value or quality of the food. We were presently surprised to enjoy courses of home cooked couscous... More

Delicious food in a charming, small restaurant up near the historic center of Arcos. Try the pastel! Also, the hummus is delicious.
