I have been to Babel many times and taken friends and family there on numerous occasions. The owner, Oscar is always very welcoming and makes us feel very at home. If we have a large group of people we sit in the upstairs mezzanine room which is like a private dining room. The menu is limited in choice but what... More

We lucked into this spot when we were looking for a place during Holy Week, when the nightly processional had either closed or packed all of the other places. The main floor here was very busy, but the owner suggested we move upstairs, which is outfitted with low tables, couches and cushions. The food was terrific, the service was great,... More

My wife and I had lunch here and it was superb. The service was very friendly and the food tasted very fresh and well seasoned. I will definitely be going here again.

We opted to dine here as it was close to our hotel and we wanted a change from Spanish food. We received more than we expected. The decor is warm and intimate. All the dishes were tried (5 different ones) were truly delicious, and the service was casual but good. It might be a bit of a wait if the... More

This place sucks! It is by far the worst Morrocan food and restaurant I have tried in my life. Why? 1- the service is slow, prepare to wait one hour for your food. 2- the hummus is watered down with no flavor and was served with soft tortillas and pieces of baguette ( which they charge afterwards 1.00€ for &... We went here on the recommendation of the manager at our hotel (one of many fine suggestions she made), and I'm certainly glad we did. One of our challenges on our trip through Andalusia was finding good vegetarian fare for one of our group, while keeping the carnivores happy. Café Babel was a hit all around, and as we're not... We got a welcome break from the traditional touristy restaurants in Spain when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Great food, had the Falafels and Hummus and Vegetarian Quinoa dish, all healthy, flavorful and delicious. The host/owner had a very interesting international music list playing in the background, which transports you to a different place. Very friendly host. All in... More

Although the food we ate throughout the Spanish Southwest was almost always quite delicious, it was nice to have a Moroccan meal at this little comfortable restaurant. The appetizers were fine, the couscous excellent, and the owner, who spoke pretty good English, a terrific guy. He also had a killer soundtrack of blues, country folk/blues, and African music going. There was... More
