We picked this restaurant by chance and what a mistake. First, the place was empty, that was a give away. Second, we had to ask for a menu and in the menu was not much to choose from. Everything we order came deep fried, wrapped in thin dough, sweet, covered with spices that did not make sense. He also brought... More

I came across this charming looking restaurant overlooking the valley so decided this would be perfect for lunch. MISTAKE! The food was near to the worst I've had in Spain. The tapas consisted mainly of deep fried bread with toppings and the oil it was cooked in didn't taste fresh. The salad was a mishmash of stale and fresh produce.... More

We came here for lunch and were delighted by the very eccentric surroundings. The owner has obviously been given free reign to decorate as he likes, with a quite wonderfully-eccentric result. The menu is quite small, but the salad he prepared is seriously one of the best I have tasted in a long time. Probably no guarantee for new visitors... More

This place is in a cave on the side of a mountain, and comes with an interesting story. But the English menu is handwritten, very limited, and comes with little explanation. Basically unnamed warm tapas or cold tapas, and one or two other options. We got the mixed warm tapas plate, which we were assured was enough for two people,... More

We went to this restaurant in Arcos and got dirty surroundings and furniture and inedible food all I can say about this place is that it is definitely not worth a visit whilst there are better offerings in Arcos de la Frontera

We "ate" at this "restaurant" today... Unbelievably awful in every way. If the fake plastic lawn wasn't a giveaway, the bird-dung stained tables should have. We were given the meat tapas sampler, everything was deep fried garbage, almost wholly inedible. OUr diet cokes (served everywhere in Spain in Glass bottles) were served over ice, were flat, and contained little black... More

We have never been in such a dirty unhygienic restaurant! We visited this place since it was highly rated in the lonely planet, but I would recommend it to nobody! The owner was pushy, wouldn't let us pick anything from the menu and would stand way to close, and served us disgusting food. After we tried to eat the starter,we... More

This place was ranked as a "Top Choice" by Lonely Planet so we stopped in Arcos on our drive from Jerez to Ronda for a "special lunch" in late August. We arrived at 2pm and no one was there, which was the first clue. An overbearing cook, Francisco, greeted us and ushered us in. We were leery of staying but... More

Stopped here on the recommendation of our hotel, and we were NOT disappointed. This is not "Spanish" food, per se, but rather "Andaluz" cuisine; they only serve items that could've been made locally before 1492. Began with some sherry and mixed nuts/fruits in the dark and incensed smoking lounge. At our own pace, we asked to enter the main dining... More
