We were collected from our hotel dock in Stresa by the restaurant's own launch and slid through the inky waters to this charming island in the lake. The restaurant has a terrace on the first floor with outstanding views over the water. It is glassed in for the winter and was a very romantic setting. We were give a glass... More

Restaurant is accessible by boat only as it is an island located in Como. Daily boat rides are available dockside and very reasonable. This restaurant has outstanding food, quality and service. The seafood served is fresh. Caught daily within the area. Portions are perfect. We were served a 5 course dinner with fabulous wine. The evening view is breaktaking of... More

The best in Stresa, by far. A 2 minute boat right ( offered by the restaurant if you are a guest ) takes you from Stresa to the Island, where you find a cosy restaurant, with a great view on the lake ( remember to book the 2n floor terrrace ), excellent food, friendly service from very willing, capable but... Ate here as a large group. We had a 4 course menu and all the courses were just amazing. Lots of flavour between a fish course, risotto, ravioli and dessert. Service was very welcoming and attentive.

It is located far from the ugly massof cheap tourists that invade this beautiful fissher's sland of the Borromeo Isole on Lago Maggiore. The restaurant has a wonderfull view on the most beautiful lake of Italy (for me Sorry Como!) and a private boat for the dinner as fortunately there are no more public transportation after 7 30 PM. The... More

We had the ravioli and the fish, quality was good, not very creative but we had an okay meal. Desserts (we had the cake of the day and the creme brûlée) were really below the level of the rest of the meal. I had high expectations because of the other reviews, I would advice not to. Not bad but not... More

Our concierge recommended this restaurant as romantic with great food. The terrace views where our concierge asked them to seat us were beautiful but not worth the visit. Service was not up to standard of other restaurants we visited in Stresa. Our appetizers were okay. My husband's duck was tasty but my fish was dry with no flavor or seasoning.... More

Nice atmosphere, really good food and wines. Service was excellent. It is not a cheap place to go to but worth every penny. Highly recommend a visit.

We ate lunch on the terrace on a beautiful day. View is great, service was professional. The food was artfully prepared, but not as good as it looked. We all had pasta dishes, perhaps fish dishes or dining in the evening are better choices. But at the prices they charge, I expected better than what we got.

The short advice about this place is: take "pescato fresco". It is not cheap, but worth it. It is the fish of the day from the nearby lakes. They gave us Lavarello and it really was delicious (a delicate trout I would say). To go to Isola dei Pescatori (Isola Superiore for Google Maps) call the restaurant and they will... More
