Amazing carvery, smells and looks amazing and very fresh. Staff was friendly and service quick. Kids food freshly made and went down a storm. Homemade ice cream was delicious. What's not to like?

Great village pub with restaurant as well as bar meals. Food excellent. Fish is a speciality, but there is plenty of choice. Gets very busy as it is very popular.

After a bit of a walk around Pembury we stopped in for some liquid refreshments. A popular pub with a lovely beer garden, perfect for a couple of pear ciders and a bowl of their very chunky chips!

Had been out with mother and mother in law and looking for a meal at a traditional English pub, the Black Horse did not dissapoint. Lovely Carvery style dinner and possibly the tastiest roast beef I've had in ages cooked to rare perfection. A little bit pricey for a carvery meal compared to some, but the quality of the product... We have eaten at the black horse before as their Sunday carvery is brilliant so when I needed a place for my mum,s 70th birthday I'm so glad we booked a table there. There was 21 for lunch, all the food came out all together, piping hot and everyone loved their lunch. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They... More

I have eaten at The Black Horse many times but this is my first review. Perhaps I have taken it for granted that the food will always be good and it always has! Great selection always available and at prices for everyone. I always recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone looking to eat in the Tunbridge Wells area and the Seafood... More

In Pembury visiting family, we had dinner at The Black Horse. It was far better than what one might expect in such a modest town. Our servers, Emily and Sofie, were quite attentive and made us feel welcome. Desserts were especially delightful and so skillfully prepared by Chef Michelle. Similar to the Cheers bar in Boston, Black Horse even had... More

Arrived here for a drink just after a rainstorm. As the Sun was just starting to appear, we decided to sit in the garden. As we sat down, a member of staff rushed out with cushions so we wouldn't get our clothes wet on the still damp chairs. Little things! This act of kindness along with well kept Doom Bar,... More

We usually visit the Black Horse on Sunday lunchtime for the excellent carvery, but this time we wanted to sit in the sunny garden for Friday lunch. The pub was very busy as usual but we got a table in the sun and I ordered Toad in the Hole. It was fantastic! Lovely crispy batter, three plump sausages covered with... More
