Beautiful, cosy and authentic scandinavian

You won't think this street could host such a nice place! The restaurant has very nice old furnitures, an old fire place and some arts on the walls. It owns a terrace and is surrounded by other old scandinavian houses and handcraft workshops. The staff was friendly and professional. The food is... read more

I ordered cod(torsk rygg) which looked good with potatoes. But the fish was very much salted can not eat. I was very confused but decided to complain. The waitress was nice attitude said she would change the dish. The same cod was carried back in 5 minutes. But it was just the same cod very salty. I did not understand.... More

Do you like food? A lovely place that is as close to that 'home' feel as possible... The most moist delicate steak and chips I have ever had... really. Butter mouth in your mouth steak and just 'how do you do those chips' to excellent beers and fantastic staff. I hope postings on here don't change (negatively) the quality of... More

Good for business luncheons and dinners. Best value in town for local produced food. Old blacksmith house in an historical surrounding.

This is the very best restaurant in Eskilstuna concerning, food, staff and Environment. The building is more than 200 years old and the interior is well bewared. Just try it!

I really liked this restaurant. Placed in the old part of Eskilstuna, everything about this place reminds me of old(er) times. Interior is very interesting, bordering on country like, but still modern enough. We didn't drink any alcohol, and the food we had was "husmanskost", Swedish for typical food. And we loved it. People working there were nice too, a... More

The ambiance of the restaurant is first class, situated in one of the cluster of 18th Century (1700s) smithies preserved in the old part of Eskilstuna. The restaurant was small and cosy, if a little warm for my comfort (the ladies in our party were however very happy with the temperature) The food was excellent. I had a nice fish... More

This is one of those restaurants you'd not hear about but for working with people who live in Eskilstuna. It's beautiful. A traditional house converted into a restaurant while retaining all the charm that existed when the house was a home. The walls are decorated with modern paintings which I loved. The food is excellent as is the wine. The... More

A renewed acquaintance with this very cosy restaurant in the preservation area of the town. The food as always excellent, with ox-cheek as a starter being a new and welcome experience for me. Main courses were impeccable and service was up to the usual high standard. We are looking forward to the summer menu i June!
