Description: Our restaurant located in the Haarlemmermeer Pavilion is a special...
Our restaurant located in the Haarlemmermeer Pavilion is a special building designed by Hani Rashid of Asymptote Architects from New York. From spring to autumn there flows a waterfall on the roof, which is spectacular down at the entrance. The pavilion is located at the edge of the Haarlemmermeer woods, 'floating' on a lake and surrounded by our vegetable garden. This beautiful place you just forget everything. Every moment is different, sometimes the building disappears in the dew of the morning, an hour later, the shining in the sunlight. This property emphasizes how close we live with nature. Eye to eye with water, air and endless green.

Nice and alternative

If you like different kind of food. Try this place. A bit expensive, but worth a try. Service is not that special.

Splendid architecture mixed with good homegrown organic food. This is like heaven on a plate. The formula is a choice of small dishes to combine like tapas. All vegetables are from their own garden. And they breed pigs for the great porc. We had beet ravioli, great taste. Porc sandwich, slow cooked in a steamed sour dough roll, just to... More

As others have said - the building is quite different - spaceship-like. The location on the edge of the lake is beautiful. The food is complementary to the environs - organic, sustainable, pretty good..... Obviously beets are in season since it was the focus of the 3 course chef surprise. Beets are not my favorite but too much for all... More

Vork en Mes (Fork and Knife) is a great organic restaurant hidden away in the middle of nowhere. It's one of the remaining pavilions (designed by super futuristic Asymptote Architects of New York) of the 2002 Floriade international flower show. Strangely enough, the furnishing of the restaurant seems to have completely ignored the funky building. The food here is creative,... More

The park in summer is beautiful, and the view this restaurant provides is great. the design of the restaurant is also interesting. The staff here is just uninterested and slow, the food average. being the only place in this great location, they really should be doing more... it has potential.

For a night out with our family our kids always want to go here. The food is sustainable and some ingredients are homegrown. Although quite pricy, the kids can order their own 'wine' here and is served in appropriate glasses. Treat them like grown-ups and they will act that way so we had an evening-filled dinner with no fuss. The... More

I went to this place with a groups of people I work with. It was an interesting experience. I think I would I have enjoyed the place more in the summer or at least during the day as the scenery seemed to be very nice. The food was interesting: It wasn't great but it was interesting. It was a set... More

This restaurant is situated on the verge of the Haarlemmermeer forest, run by imaginative chef Jonathan Karpathios. Its building, set on a lovely forest pond, has a very special architectural design, which creates a light and breezy atmosphere. I love to have lunch here: it's relaxed, delicious and dishes are prepared with great attention to detail. The lovely, mostly homegrown... More

This restaurant is situated in a beautiful modern building at the former exhibition Floriande in the Hoofddorpse Bos. I have been here about 5 times for business. If you believe in the dream of organic and biologic food, this is the place. For me personally, I don't care a bit. A course of sliced carrot surrounded by 5 peas is... More

Definitely worth a visit, chef Jonathan has a mission and passion for real healthy food. Has its own vedgie patch in the surrounding gardens. Great location, beautiful lake. Simply loved it.
