My husband and I ate at Futura Osteria tonight and the meal was so great and memorable that I wanted to post my review right away while it was fresh in my mind. Being North American, we like to dine earlier than locals, so we arrived right as the Osteria was opening at 7:30PM. We were greeted warmly and invited... More

"Abbadia Isola" is a hamlet of Monteriggioni deriving its name from an ancient abbey, located on the Via Francigena, which from Northern Europe led to Rome. In historic buildings that surround the abbey some commercial properties are placed, including this restaurant, small and well managed. Through the menu is evident the pursuit of quality and authenticity, and from our experience... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal in the patio, 14 persons, great atmosphere, excellent service and food. The beef was absolutely perfect. We'll be back.

It seemed that everyone else around me enjoyed their meals. There was a large group of German bicyclers outside on the patio enjoying their bruschetta with chicken liver pate and grilled rare steaks. I ordered the chicken with honey and lemon. Slices of chicken were layered along with spongy, rubbery chicken foam/mousse, then baked, then cut in squares and finished... More

Tried this restaurant with my wife and three children.Don't expect your typical pasta-pizza place. This is a place were the dishes are well thought and the products are fresh. The bread in itself is worth a visit. Our steak was one of the best we had tried during our trip.Have a chat with the owners who will love to explain you what their... Sunday lunch, and the restaurant is hosting a large (30 people) of tourists. Service consequently feels a bit rushed. Menu is limited, but interesting, and two additional specials are proposed. A selection of cheese items is a bonus, and contains welcome alternatives to the ubiquitous pecorino. The patio is a pleasant place to be, although a bit windy. The octopus... More

Futura Osteria is a delightful local restaurant tucked away in Abbadia a Isola. We went there twice during our stay at Borgo Stomennano, once with a small group of friends, the second time taking over the whole place with our wedding party. The food is beautifully cooked, bringing together a modern spirit that contrasts nicely with the ancient Tuscan countryside... More

We are staying at the Castel di Bigozzi in Strove and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. It's a little hard to find in Abbadia a Isola, just down the hill from the local Coop and across the street from a gas station and bar. Park your car in the big parking lot and walk down the sidewalk to the... More
