We went her for the first time this year on our last night, before we turned to Uk. A very traditional Greek restaurant, but the food was really of a very high quality. The stuffed aubergines were delicious, as was the moussaka. We will definitely return next year. A smile from the rather stern waiter would have been nice however.

Mavrikos is right beside Lindos Square - initially while recommended by hotel staff we didn't go as we wanted to go further into town. I am so glad that there had been a festival on that made the streets so busy that the easy option was Mavrikos. The restaurant is like a traditional taverna and I can honestly say that... More

The place where the Greeks eat at week ends, food is excellent, but the week end theatre is well worth it, in high season at week ends book to avoid disappointment

An old established restaurant in the main sq well worth a visit. My partner had one of the specials on the night roasted fennel and when she commented that it was a bit "woody" they took it away no fuss and bought another one also delaying the main courses for me and the other diners with us,nothing was to much trouble... you pay a little more to eat here but we thought it was well worth it. Had 3 meals here in one week. The lamb shank in prune rosemary and tomato sauce was fantastic. Frequented by the locals

This is a bit of a legendary venue, opened in the 30s and has been reviewed in the New York Times no less. Great starters - try the black butter beans and mushrooms - and really tasty mains. The steaks and seafood are quite overpriced but overall it's a classy affair. Expensive but worth it.

We had lunch here twice in late May. We came back the second time because the food was so good and the staff so wonderful. Unusually imaginative and innovative Greek cuisine. The leeks and prunes, the cuttle fish and berlotti beans, and the stewed figs and yogurt were especially memorable. Wide selection of excellent Greek wines. Lovely terrace. The owner... More

We came here for the final meal of our holiday at lunchtime, but the same menu is on offer in the evening. Service was prompt, if not quite as friendly as some other restaurants. We had dips with bread for a starter. The dips were copious; with more garlic than is generally found elsewhere. The Pita bread was a little... More
