Following all the reviews here, we had the 23 euro menu. We both had Gazpacho to start (not the best ever; but okay), and I had lamb with prunes; and my wife had lamb stew. Both had very strong Morrocan flavours; both were delicious. Yes, the waiter is maybe over-friendly. Yes, there are not a lot of seats. But Yes,... More

A good location in a small street behind Plaza de Espana.relaxed atmosphere with tables inside or outside on quiet pedestrian street..a varied extremadura cuisine menu.staff are simpatico.had a local soup with Jerez sherry added.then had salmon with salad & potatoes.deserts are available.the 3 course Menu Extremeno is good value.fish & Cordero a la ciruela are recommended, finish with an aperitif.

Solid, slightly old-fashioned restaurant, with an excellent Menu del Dia (including their own pitarra wine) for Euros 12. Meals are served downstairs in a small but elegant room -- downstairs is reached through a noisy but convivial bar. Quality and quantity of food are excellent. Plenty of variety as well, and a more expensive (Euros 23) special menu which on... More

The restaurant is just behind the Plaza Mayor. We arrived late and were given a table inside as all places on the pavement were taken on such a warm evening. I started with the famous Salmorejo soup which I found lacking in flavour and stodgy. This was followed by local lamb cooked with plums. The portion was over-generous but there... More

We liked that the restaurant is very attentive and the food is delicious home cook style. The interior decoration is again bright and cheery (seems to be the trend in this town) not your minimalist sophisticate eatery but more like your vintage and painting loving uncle's house :)

Last April my wife and I visited Merida for a couple of days. We think we were fortunate to have tried Casa Nano during our first day. We had the Day's Menu which we found excellent. The Salmorejo and Castillian Soup were very good, and the fish (a whole one) and pork chops very well prepared. Needless to stay that... More
