HO HUM..............................

Food is nothing special, the service average and the atmosphere O.K. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to recommend this restaurant.

Have stayed here a few times before, and whilst I always enjoyed it, found its layout confusing and too many students on 'Roman Spain Discovery' packages. This last time, stopped in for a drink and was impressed: I think that there has been some internal remodelling -- much less confusing than before -- and the service and ambience was first... More

Easy walk from the train station, and very close to all the sights. Lovely rooms, gorgeous mints provided. Lovely range of vinotherapeutic toiletries. Restaurant wasn't great, but the only place open on a Monday.. for the rest of my stay, I ate downtown.

We had two breakfasts at the hotel, which were poor, and a dinner, which were all bad, but the dinner was awful, especially for the price. My husband's tuna was overcooked, none of the food was very good, and the service was poor and inattentive.

The dishes are really top level. Do not miss canelones de cerdo and cochinillo crujiente: one of the best plates I ever tried. Also, they make one of the best migas in Spain. Very recomendable, for me, the best quality/price place. For desert the arrullo con reja de chocolate

The evening meal we experienced on 16 June 2011 in Merida Parador was below par. Below are the main points of dissatisfaction: 1. The menu selection available for those having Half Board was limited. We were given a Spanish menu even though we later discovered that there was an English one available. The waitress did not know what we were... More

This is a very good Parador with a lovely intimate feel. It is ideally located for this historic city centre and fits in very well. The Parador menu is just like any other Parador menu, which is a shame, very institutionalised and sanitised. Would be better if every Parador was different. But the breakfast is great and so is the... More
