Best restaurant in town!

We had read so much about this and made it a priority to visit. The food - platter of Jamon, chorizo and salchicon was excellent and we followed up with a salmorejo bowl before sharing a prawn dish. The food was excellent but perhaps we were early 8pm the service was poor at best. We were one of two tables... More

We chose the chefs special menu. Cherry gazpacho with olive oil ice cream was delicious. My cod was equally as good, however my companion had pork with noodles and the noodles were inedible - like eating rubber bands. When this was pointed out to the waitress she became very twitchy and from then on did not serve us, leaving the... More

I stayed three nights in Merida, and had dinner twice at Rex Numitor. I was so impressed with the refinement and innovativeness of the cuisine and the selection of local wines during my first dinner. Friendly, discrete and efficient service.

There was one other diner in this restaurant when we arrived, which by Spanish standards was early at 20:30, We chose the chef's recommendation, which was local Iberica chorizos and hams, gazpacho soup with olive oil ice cream on chopped ham. Loin of cod with roesti, spinach and a poached egg, cheesecake and icecream, wine, water and coffee included.

this restaurant is just off the main square. It was as low night when we were there with just a few tables occupied. We opted for the 30€ tasting menu which included wine and coffee. It was a five course tasting menu and all courses were really really tasty the food was served and prepared excellently. We felt that it... More

This restaurant is on the ground floor of Aparthotel Capitolina. An absolute top in Merida. Award-winning cuisine: caramelized sweetbread, beautifully prepared and very refined. Crispy fried pig, venison, super. Starters to Share: Tuna tartare or grilled vegetables, nicely made and exquisite taste. Even the spaghetti with tomato sauce is delicious and every day different so freshly made. Recommended, do not... More

What can I say. Michelin star restaurant, fantastic service, great atmosphere. We were really spoiled here, the food was perfect and so well presented, also the wine was not overpriced. Service was perfect. 3 course meal for two with wine came to 61 euros, excellent value.

Well, food was ok (not excellent). We asked for a table on the window the waitress told us that we couldn't sit there because "It was going to take a time for them to clean it". Also, guys, please DO PAY FOR SPOTIFY if is very annoying to be hearing a song and then a commercial from spotify. Comida bien... More

I tried the dinner menu for 30 euro, which includes wine, water, coffee, etc. Every dish was beautifully presented, with attention to detail by the discrete and efficient staff. Seldom had such a good meal "overall" in Spain - for a very reasonable price.
