Another fantastic meal at Gula

We had a lovely supper once again at this great restaurant. We shared lots of delicious tapas. Gorgonzola croquetes, the bread with 3 dips and the pesto one is my favourite. Tempura of prawns, filo pastry parcels with confit'd duck with lovely oriental style vegetables, half a duck breast with a... read more

We were looking for gluten free meal in Jerez. The server MIguel was an excellent advisor. He took time to go with us trought the whole menu to mention what if gluten free. We also had the surprise that they prepare gluten free fresh bread (we mention it during the reservation phone call). Quality was a real surprise. My Sun... More

If you ask Miguel, owner and chef at Gula, you'll have a good time. Great food. Value for money. He also speaks good English.

Our server Miguel made sure we had an excellent experience. I believe he is an owner of the restaurant. His English is excellent and he spent time making some recommendations from the menu and is very knowledgeable about wine including Sherry. He even let us try some superb Olorosos [including some from Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla] and brought a... More

This place is a real hidden gem in Jerez. The food is excellent - well above average. The menu is broad with clever and well developed modern dishes based on traditional foods from the region and beyond. The ratio of price versus quality is outstanding. The wine menu is extensive and wines are very sensibly priced. The service is excellent... More

The chef is a very friendly guy who can really cook! Very well thought out combinations, beautifully prepared and presented. We ordered a lot...way too much...got to try many things on the menu. There wasn't one item that we didn't love. Everything was delicious!

We now live within walking distance of this fabulous restaurant. Aren't we the lucky ones? It never fails to please with superb food and service. Some of our favourite dishes are the Iberico pork, the Retinto local beef, a spanking fresh fabulous tuna tartare dish, lovely fish pate, and a gorgeous white brownie with homemade Icecream. Hoping to go next... More

We have tried many Trip recommended restaurants in Jerez, the vast majority have been disappointing!! We are now lucky to live in this beautiful city. We had the most wonderful meal at Gula this evening. The welcome and the staff was superb, but the food really was amazing. We shared some unusual but superb fishy tapas, all three were delicious....
