Not an impressive restaurant by the looks, food was quite ok, price reasonable. House wine reco excellent, we got postre and sherry "on the house..." But guess that was because we had a local recommending it and making reservation for us. They have quite a cute sherry cellar. Overall slightly recommended.

We were staying literaly next door to this restaurant in Calle Gaitan and had walked past it every day. The owners of our property recommended it and it is on the food and wine trail in Jerez. On a very rainy evening we decided to give it a try so we did not have to wander in the rain. Upon... More

Nice food, but a little bland and they didn't have several items available. Good service.

There's an information board (like they have for churches and tourist sights) in the street outside, which whetted our interest, but as others have said, the food was no more than moderate. Good hearty portions, and attentive service, but the cooking lacked imagination.

For a rated restaurant, the food was average in our opinion. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff very friendly

After a Lonely Planet recommendation, we decided to try this place out. Being from central Europe, we were of course the first guests in the place on a Saturday night. Unfortunately this did not mean that the service was automatically better. The food was ok, but carelessly presented, all accompanied by the same french fries. We ordered some veg, which... More

On the recommendation of the receptionist at our hotel we headed for Gaitan. It is handily located near the Tryp, however the long street is very narrow and fast traffic makes even the short walk nerve racking. The restaurant only had another table taken when we arrived without a booking. So we got a table immediately. It is attractively arranged... More

This restaurant looks like its been going a few generations!! Definately agree it is not a trendy restaurant - it looks like a whitewashed taverna inside with an odd collection of photos. We sat in a bit with one too many bright lights. However the waiters were very friendly and pointed out the specialities of the house and they were... More

We went there on two occasions in October 2008. Restaurant reviews tend to be subjective and depend on one person's experience on one occasion but we enjoyed our visits both times. The food is excellent, there's a good choice, the staff are friendly and the wine is reasonably priced. What more can you ask for from a small informal restaurant?... More
