Cheap and delicious tapas!

I am currently studying in Cáceres and this is by far the best restaurant here. I love anything they have on the menue, especially the croquetas. Do not hestitate to try something they do not have on the menue (they will tell you about those anyways) or to ask for a recommendation. We never... read more

Having eaten here, we are afraid that no other tapas will ever meet this standard. The presentation and range of flavours match any 5 star restaurant. Hidden away in a small street in the old town, the ambience was an interesting mix of modern and old world style, which suited the establishment perfectly. We had 4 tapas and 2 desserts... More

My husband and I had some wonderful tapas in this lovely tapería. And the prices were also a pleasant surprise. It is not too easy to find in the old town, but it is worth persevering, you won't be disappointed!

Nice creative tapas at a very affordable price, we specially liked the tuna fish carpaccio. Very much recommended!

Hidden spot in the old city, with small patio that leads you into two cozy areas. Tapas are very good, with the key ones you expect to find in Caceres but also some others more elaborated. The service is corteous, as you would expect in a higher-rank restaurant. The atmosphere, the place, the food and the service makes it a... More

La Caharreria thoroughly impresses even the most jaded traveller with its creative tapas--the mushrooms, the cheese plate, the gazpacho, the tuna, the ham; my listing them here does not do justice to the blend of flavors on each plate. So if you're in Extremadura, this is a place worth seeking out. Get there early or make a reservation because seating... More

Very good tapas & wine. The place is busy at the evenings. We've been lucky as we walked in and there was exactly one table free. The service was quick and friendly. In general we are big tapas fans and we really enjoyed the selection available in La Cacharrería.

We arrived here with no reservation at 8.45 and they were able to fit us in but it did start to get very busy soon after. The dining area where we were sitting had high tables and chairs which weren't that comfortable but it was I nice buzzy atmosphere, and I do not know what the other areas of the... More

Of course, we didn’t try every tapas-restaurant in Spain. But when you come to the western parts of Spain, it’s for sure worthy to make a detour for it: La Cacharreria, in de old town of Cáceres. Great location, very nice restaurant! Perfect decorated dishes, great variety in amazing tastes….combined with prices you only dreamed of…. It’s possible to dine... More

We came here as it was recommended by a friend. This is a small place with no reservation, you have to wait if there is no room inside. You can choose from a tapas menu, around 10 dishes with other 3 day specials, all between 4 a 4,5€ and enough to try for 4 people each. Everything we tried was... More
