Given it's in Le Touquet the prices are reasonable and you get what you expect - Relatively simple decent food well cooked. Expect 40 per head including a bottle of Chablis.

My wife and I and with our friends visit La Taverne Royale for early evening drinks. It has a nice bar and a pleasant ambience. Although busy, the staff are very friendly. We normally order the 'Bourgogne Aligote' which is very good value compared to many other bars and restaurants. We have also eaten dinner there from time to time... More

I visit le Touquet fairly regularly and have been going to this restaurant for years. The food is consistently good, the proof of which is in the number of French voices heard in addition to the visitors. Staff seem to have got a bit friendlier over the years, but hey, you can't have everything......

the food was ok, but the table were squashed together so we may just have well all been on one long table! Order was taken quickly but quite a wait. Then plates were cleared but no return to take dessert order. Only 2 staff waiting and one barman - clearly too much for them to do. So we gave up,... More

The food was decent and tasty but far from spectacular and perhaps not great value for money but it is located in central Le Touquet! House wine was very pleasant. Coffee excellent. It was a busy day and with some of the tables being very close together some of the enjoyment went out of the meal. The noise and work... More

We were looking for a reasonably priced fruits de mer for one, and selected this restaurant from the many others offering the same at much higher prices. The fruits de mer was good, served with all the implements to extract all the edible parts of the various items on the plate, but in the end proved too much to finish.... More

4 of us (2 couples) decided to have dinner here as it looked quite inviting from the exterior. When we got inside we felt anything but invited. We tried several times to get the attention of a member of staff and when we eventually did their attitude was abrupt and surly. We ordered our starters. 2 of us shared calamari... More

A typical French restaurant with a very strict menue. don't ask for chicken dishes there, because they don't have any. I had a kidney dish, it was terrible. However the staff were very nice and friendly.

Well we have visited this Resturant for over 5yrs and it recently has been refurbished due to a fire. The rudeness of a certain staff member who told us we weren't welcome for a coffee and to go find a bar if that's all we wanted took us by surprise! The day before we ( family of 6 had eaten... More

This is a brilliant restaurant on the main street in Le Touquet. It was bustling and busy and the food excellent. You definitely need to book!
