This bustling café in the centre of Le Touquet is part New York diner, and part Parisian bistro. With a brasserie-style ambience and stateside memorabilia on the walls, Le Jean's Café is a fun place to visit whether you're looking for a nice place for lunch, a mid-afternoon glass of wine, or a relaxed place for dinner with something on the menu for everyone. The menu features American -style pizzas and pasta alongside traditional French fare, and you can chow down on anything from garlic snails to sticky barbecued spare ribs. We love the steak served with Bearnaise sauce, provençal herbs and fries, and Jean's signature pizza made with ham, mushrooms, mixed herbs, Gorgonzola and mozzarella cheese.

i had pre booked our set meal of main, dessert, drink, and tea/coffee. We were expected when we arrived and greeted by the very friendly staff, our drinks order was taken and within a short space of time our food arrived. It was well presented and very tasty. The staff were attentive and very helpful, especially when one of our... More

Visited here last Sunday for lunch. having come from Brugges where all of our food had been superb we were disappointed. I had the Moules Frites and whilst the mussels were good the chips were soggy and it felt as if they had been reheated and luke warm. My husband eight the Welsh rarebit and the egg wasn't cooked it... More

We have eaten here a few times over the years and really enjoyed the food so on another visit to le touquet this week decided to eat here again. Not a good decision, don't know whether it is under new management or a different chef, but the food was terrible. Told the waiter but he just took our plates away... More

We went to Jean's for an early dinner, we had prawn spaghetti, fajitas & mussels, the food was delicious, too much of it, none of us finished our meals! Good food, good wine, good music, not expensive. Just what we were looking for. The bar was clean, a typical bar, with sports memorabilia and a big motorbike on the ground... More

Cannot comment on the food as only had a coffee, but the service and friendliness was excellent the ambience was very good and it was also very reasonably priced for the area.

Can handle large group with no lost in quality! Would definitely suggest that place. Not sure how it works during high season.

We were a large party, when we placed our order they could not supply enough Steak so some of the party had to choose other dishes and many did not receive the sides. One Steak was returned and was quickly replaced, not sure where this came from as originally they didn't have enough.

We went for coffee, lunch and dinner, on different days. It was excellent for all three. If you like Harley Davidsons, try and get a table where you can see the one on display! The food is great wherever you sit, however.

The staff spoke very good English, which for 6 non French speaking golfers, was great. The food is basic fare, but was excellent. The staff were very helpful, and spent time discussing the menu, which was in French with English too, but still happy to help with our questions. We ate there twice which is always a good sign!
