First time in Le Touquet and we loved the place. A late lunch at Le Matisse was excellent value I had their special pizza with goats cheese, honey and rocket leaves - superb! and my husband ( after much deliberation) decided on the mussels with cream and garlic sauce - beautiful! A generous serving in both cases. So good we... More

Was here a few years ago with my family and felt somewhat conned by the quality and value of our meal. Just had escargot and a beef steak, all in all not bad and 2 of us eating with 2 beer's €50. Well worth a visit

This is not in the same league as some of the restaurants in le Touquet. We went in here because there were five of us with different tastes and a lot of the set menus were too samey. However le Matisse does everything from pizzas to burgers to more traditional French dishes, so pretty much caters for everybody. Food was... More

Typical French restaurant in the Center of Le Touquat but just the place to be for a lovely evening crowd watching. Food arrived hot and well presented and waiter very friendly. Most enjoyable and will return when in the area again

We have eaten here a few times over the years. The location is great for people watching and for a snack or lunch. The menu is typical French cafe fare and it is always hot and of good quality. If you think this place is on the Egon Ronay top ten.....it's not but it is good honest food that is... More

Many of the bigger restaurants in Le Touquet are quite similar and you can't really go far wrong in any of them. We had a good experience with Le Matisse, we were a big group, adults and kids were all happy with their food, the staff were very friendly and on good form. We had lunch in here one day... More

We are regular visitors to Le Touquet and we arrived late afternoon. As a group of four we decided that we did not want to change and dress up for dinner. As we has all visited Matisse before for lunch and it had always been good value we could pop in there for a drink and look at the menu.... More

It's tricky to find a place in Le T that doesn't stop serving lunch at 2:30. Le Matisse is ok, does the job, a bit Butlins-ey.

We make a point of eating at Le Matisse whenever we visit Le Touquet. Lovely bistro type dishes served quickly by friendly staff make this a very pleasant experience. Even those staff that don't speak English make an effort to get help from colleagues. But the main reason for our returning is that the food is excellent quality and good... More
