Le Ricochet restaurant in Le Touquet is hot and why not? The owners are passionate about food and art so Le Ricochet is a sparky combination of the two. The dining room is vibrant with scarlet walls, winning-flag chequered banquettes, designer lighting, and a changing array of original artworks on the walls. The menu is a changing work of art, too, with superfresh Asian-inspired modern European dishes that includes sushi, kangaroo steaks and other surprises supported by seriously accomplished caramelised lamb tagine, Ricochet-style seabass, veal ossobucco with confit oranges and spinach tagliatelle. The chef is passionate about wine, too, so the carte reflects deep research and an adventurous spirit. The ambience is young and bubbling.

Small, intimate bistro with some quirky dishes

45 mins to get food - two simple salads. Drinks did not arrive at all. We asked the waiter and then they brought us water only. Finally another waitress came to see what was wrong and we asked about the wine - they then told us that they didn't have that wine and got something completely different. We watched a... More

After wandering around Le Touquet for a good half an hour looking for somewhere to eat (we initially said no to Ricochet) we ended up back outside and thought if not now we were gonna go without. As soon as we entered we greeted warmly and seated by the window, this was obviously a popular place with the locals as... More

We were greeted warmly and offered the menu board straight away. We were offered a taster of beetroot ravioli that was just delicious. We ate from the set menu and every dish was beautifully presented and unusual in its content. We are vegetarian and had a great choice. Sebastian the owner is so attentive and we had a great evening.... More

Quite a simple restaurant with a few tables outside and two rooms adjacent to each other. The welcome was good and service friendly. The owner took time to explain the blackboard menu in detail in English for us, out French being basic at best. We opted for a €24 menu for two courses with four choices per course. There was... Highly recommended. Excellent food, that bit different from the usual fare you get in the majority of le touquet restaurants. Well worth a visit.

We visited on quiet, out of season, Friday night and would easily recommend this small, classy, yet unpretentious place just off the main drag. Service was impeccable, English easily better than our franglais, and value for money pretty decent. For starters we had crab cakes and Thai prawn but for mains we stuck to traditional French fillet mignon and hearty... More

Visited as a four on Tuesday 24th Sept, turned up on spec and were given a nice table at the side. Food and wine was excellent staff excellent and generally a great evening, would recommend to anybody, probably not the best choice for vegetarians but didn't worry us. Note the Pigeon was superb.

Well this is the real place to be this year! Excellent service from the front of house manager (the restaurant was strangely very quiet on a mid June evening). he explained every dish - some of which were unique to Ricochet - zebra (green) tomatoes as a starter, risottos, shoulder of lamb, fabulous chocolate desserts etc. Every dish was served... Visited Ricochet with my daughter, who is vegetarian, having called in the previous day to see what options were available (her choice in France usually is omelettes, pizza or an odd meat free pasta dish). The restaurant changed hands in the summer of 2012 and is now owned by partners, one of whom is Sebastien who worked for many many... More
