Comfortable small hotel

We stayed one night on a cycling holiday. The room was clean and comfortable. meals were very good. Behind the hotel there was a stork nesting!

We stayed one night on a cycling holiday. The room was clean and comfortable. meals were very good. Behind the hotel there was a stork nesting!

Trying to book a table for 8 pm but advised by the staff the kitchen would close at 8.30 so it would be better to be at the table at 7 pm. So we did. At 8.30 still no food at the table and after numerous complaints not even excuses from the staff. Chef was stressed, so... we had to... More

A very affordable menu for lunch or dinner. The wait staff speak German, some Czech, and some English, and are eager to please. A great place to stop (or to stay overnight) if you're visiting the Roman ruins or the open-air Roman museum down the road.

We visited Rome back in 1998. One of the really memorable things was it rained like crazy so we left our windows open to dry out our clothes and the room. We arrived at the restaurant at 6.20pm and when they saw us, one of the waiter told the other one (in Slovak, which my gf speaks, unfortunately for them) "you will see, those 2 want to eat too" (in not a nice way at all!).
