A bit of everything!

While vacationing on Block Island, Aldo's was our go-to place for coffee in the morning (the banana hazelnut was a hit), and who could resist their amazing pastries. I come here for the cinnamon rolls and their gelato/ice cream. To die for. Don't bother going somewhere else on Block Island! Also, try their fresh-squeezed orange juice in the morning--- SO GOOD

Stopped at Aldo's for a gelato cone in the afternoon, which was really good, so I went back for dinner that night. The service was very slow, the clam chowder was ttadty but really thin, the stuffing in the stuffed mushrooms was gummy, and the "stuffies" (stuffed quahogs aka clams) were more like turkey stuffing--not much clam taste and mostly... We met friends for an impromptu dinner. We started with a simple red wine, but I was impressed at its smooth, almost sweet taste, but not like a dessert wine. Our main courses included the lasagna special, eggplant rolatini, chicken piccata, and with sides of pasta and small Caesar salads. All were excellent, and the setting was very much like... More

We ordered pizza to go and fried calamari to go. We were very disappointed. What do you do when you have it home and it is barely edible with minuscule amounts of topping. Aldo's was always our number one choice for pizza but no more. The fried calamari used to be good but tiny pieces and mostly batter.

Good Italian food even better atmosphere when they have live music. When the music was playing people were dancing and having a great time. You ca get pizza all the way to a full Italian meal. After dinner go next door for gelato

One if not only Italian restaurants we could find on Block Island. Most other restaurants have similar items. Food was average. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening here when they had a musician performing music from the 60ies!

Delicious pizza! I had the prosciutto and arugula and am still dreaming about it. Friendly service and reasonably priced for a town of expensive dinners. A great deal!
