I visit regularly with my boyfriend and his family. I don't know what these reviews are on about- I've never had anything but friendly service and good quality food. Amazing.

We moved to Wokingham a while back & were very pleased to discover we had a chippy within spitting distance of our house. The euphoria didn't last that long! I have never encountered such slow service in my entire life. They need a rocket up their backsides and the owners have no sense of urgency whatsoever. Food is made to... More

Wai Wai is such a weird place! It seems to have a really devoted fan club (kids bring pictures in for the wall!) who absolutely rave about it - but it is possibly the slowest service I have ever encountered in a chip shop, with average food and portions! I have to assume that the fans don't mind waiting 30... More

I was so pleased to come south and find such a lovely fish and chip shop with beautifully battered fish and lovely crispy chips. Been here many times and I'm never ever disappointed. Lovely couple that run it to boot. I have seen a lot of northern comments on here regarding Wai wai and after 35 years of living in... More

Reading the last review on TA about dinosaur service at this place made me laugh but it's unfortunately so accurate. Fish and Chips are supposed to be a type of fast food and it took me 45 minutes to get served yesterday despite the fact that there were only 8 people in the queue in front of me. I think... More

In the time you wait in the slow moving queue for the ponderous owners to serve you, you could drive to the coast and catch a fish, fillet it, eat it and drive home. If you have a week to spare then worth a try but otherwise best avoided.

Blimey we are an easily pleased lot in Wokingham, if this is the best fish and chips in town (though there are only a couple of places which do do fish and chips). I may have got a bad batch but the batter was like concrete. Chips very flavourless and they leave the skin on the fish. Skin on battered... More

Excellent service and food quality. The owners are extremely friendly and the food is always fresh and hot. The fish served never has bones!

Great food in here with friendly service. Reasonable priced and often busy so avoid peak times if you can. The best fish snd chips in town by a mile!
