Top grub - low price

Outstanding cooking for the money. We had the excellent Duck Spring Rolls and Slow Roast Lamb which was cooked nicely pink. The attentive waiters/waitresses are a credit to the teaching staff at St Helens College.

A lovely meal last Friday evening. Very polite and attentive staff. The food was well cooked and well presented and I will certainly be booking again after Easter when the menu changes. The two/three course menu also includes a cup of tea or coffee.

Being part of St Helens college, this restaurant (in my humble opinion) is a credit to the staff and students alike. I completed an evening gourmet cookery course at the college in Dec 14, and am enrolled on an (evening) Italian cookery course in Jun 15. As part of our course we conducted a tour of the kitchen and met... More

Our previous visit was expensive and the food quality variable which lead to an appropriately subdued review, which we said at the time was a real shame given then generally superb standards that we usually enjoy. So it gives us great pleasure to write an updated review based on our most recent visit - lunch for four diners which came... More

I took a large party to the annual Burns Night event as my husband and I have been many times over the years. For many of the diners it was their first experience of Colours and they were all suitably impressed with the surroundings, excellent food and service. The seven course menu was stunning and every course was perfect. In... More

Visited Colours last night with my Boyfriend, the stunning food and the attentive staff ensured we had a great meal! It was my boyfriends first time and it's safe to say he was definitely impressed. We both love food and eating out and the food here is up there with the best! I think this is a great facility for... More

I've been to colours a few times in the past and have never been disappointed. This visit was no different and every single one of our party of 8 left thoroughly stuffed full of excellent food. This is a training restaurant for the college but you wouldn't know this from the quality of the food, every piece cooked to perfection.... More

Fantastic food with pleasant décor. We have been many times over the years, but our visit on Saturday was ruined by the noise levels. My husband and I had gone for a special evening out but were seated close to a party of over 30, who only arrived as our mains were served. There were lots of empty tables away... More

We recently had another lunch at Colours and have booked for Christmas. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in St.Helens. We have been going every so often since they opened. Never had a bad meal. Excellent food, plenty of it. Lovely, friendly staff and service. Simply the best !
