Great experience, friendly staff and good quality food. A unique experience which we all enjoyed. I will return at some point. The prices are the only thing that, for me, make this a 'special occasion' rather than a regular place to dine. That is not saying however that this restaurant is over-priced. The food and service make this feel like... More

My partner and I really loved this place, the food was fantastic. The food comes out raw and you cook it yourself on hot rocks which was a really different experience. We will be going back very soon and I would reccomend to anyone.

Went to this restaurant for a birthday meal. Met nicely by the waitress and were seated at the table where drinks were ordered. The meal is based on cooking your main meat on hot lava rocks (which are extremely hot) and the Veg, salad and chips come separately but cooked. The chips were hand cooked and chunky and tasted fantastic,... More

We recently went as a group to the restaurant as a group of 14. We were given a private room upstairs and were able to be boisterous without upsetting any other diners.Have been many times before as this is my favourite restaurant. As I had organised the trip I was slightly nervous that everyone would enjoy the evening but as... More

We had a really excellent meal with friends. The restaurant was able to cope very well indeed with a large group, service was very friendly and helpful with no delays. The quality of the food was exceptional; my generous starter of red pepper hummus was delicious, and this was followed by a skewer of the freshest of fish, prawns and... More

Wonderful evening. The food was excellent very well presented with good size portions. The staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout the evening, service excellent. It was a fun evening cooking the food yourself on the hot plates, my steak was very tender, and my husband loved the venison. I would recommend this place to my friends. A delightful... More

Myself and my Husband went for a birthday meal here. I was very impressed with the quality of the meat and fish. Loved the idea of the volcanic rock that you cook your own food on. The waitress was very pleasant and so was the management. I would recommend any one to give this place a try.

Cooking your own meat and shellfish on the volcanic stones is a great experience.... Can't blame the chef i.e. yourself! (unless the ingredients were questionable). The venison, fillet steak, scallops and king prawns were all top quality, fresh and with taste. Cooking yourself lead to a very relaxing dining experience totally self paced, which meant we were there for 2... More

We are moving into the area and while the house buying goes through are trying lots of places for the first time and getting to know the area. We came for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious good quality food, excellent service and staff that are evidently passionate about the restaurant and the food they serve. The 20% off if... More

I like my steak blue/rare but mine came from the kitchen on the hot lava rock so by the time it got to me it was over done. Very expensive for the quantity of food of food you get. Small steak, small bowl of chips, small salad. Selection of beers very poor, ok if you drink larger but all the... More

Just a little out of date! Our steaks are not served on the rocks, but come pre sliced or whole, depending on your preference and we recommend you cook slice by slice to avoid overcooking. We advise that the rocks are extremely hot and everything does cook quickly and therefore if you prefer your steak 'blue', simply sear the steak.... More
