Excellent Carvery

18 of us enjoyed a group lunch of "over 21 year olds" & of a certain age. Hadn't been to this well known pub for 40 to 50 years. Good news is it is still going strong after all these years. We all eschewed the a la carte menu & went for the carvery. It was as good as it... read more

An interesting old pub with a large modern carvery restaurant attached. Very popular and good value. Carved joints excellent, vegetables could be fresher.

Called in here on spec one lunchtime mid-week, restaurant was very busy. Spoke to a waitress who advised that it's preferable to book in advance as this is a very popular establishment. However, as there were only 2 of us she managed to juggle things around and seated us almost immediately. We had the carvery, and what a treat that... More

We dropped into The Nailers Arms with no booking as we were undecided where to celebrate a family birthday. They managed to seat us but politely explained we would only have an hour before the table was booked an we would need to vacate. Our waitress appeared promptly so we could place our order and was friendly and courteous throughout... More

They were fully booked but managed to squeeze us in as long as we were gone by a certain time. So glad they managed to fit us in because the carvery was amazing! They were generous with the gammon and beef. A lot more care was taken with the veg and sides. I've been to a few other places where... More

Simply put, the very best carvery for miles and miles. Usually fully booked, and with good reason. The rest of the menu is deligthful too and Phil is a great host. Shula too! This is a consistently good pub, with great food and lovely staff.

Clean, tidy, attentive staff. All food served was excellent. Only downside - if you don't book don't expect to walk in and get a table

Chose restaurant as required somewhere central for the family to meet up. Never been here before and am quite happy to says you that everything was excellent, quality of food, service, value, drinks choice etc. Would not hesitate in recommending.

We booked here as it has a lovely carvery but shall not rush to go back unless its just for a quick me! We were told the minute we walked in for our 6pm meal that our table was booked out again at 8pm. My friends and I meet up once ever month for a meal and like to have... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. We were genuinely sorry to hear your disappointment given your two previous wonderful reviews. Unfortunately (…or I should probably write fortunately, given this day and age!) we are a very busy pub and we try to accommodate as many of our Customers as we are able to who require a table. For busy... More

Been here many a time for the carvery and will keep going back as it's the best I've had in Bromsgrove. Creamy garlic potatoes are to die for. Will keep going back!
