Good food

The Kailyard is the same place where we were also served our breakfast and afternoon cream tea from the Hilton hotel. It was very busy and it reminded me of the service and food we have received at some weddings we have attended . We expected better , and more intimate , probably because of the good reviews the Kailyard... More

We tried one of Nick Nairn's signature dishes and it was really delicious, but in general the food is quite expensive, unless you are on a deal.

Found that the evening food is a bit hit and miss. My lamb and halibut were delicious. The lemon sole and veggie burger not nice at all (very dry). It is fairly obvious that the food is all pre-prepared (and possibly microwaved?). Its very much a case of feeding the masses. I don't feel that the standard of food they... More

When we looked at the silver mrenu we were drawn to the braised shoulder of Dornoch Lamb. We were very disappointed, all 4 of us. We were served with a dried up piece of fatty lamb shoulder served on a bed of mashed potato which soaked up the limited portion of jus (which was very tasty).very disappointed. Starters were enjoyable,... More

Delicious 3 course meal which was reasonably priced. My wife ordered the salmon dish and stated it was lovely, not being a fish eater I chose the beef dish which certainly was very tasty. For dessert I would suggest Banoffee tart which was delicious.Lovely 3 courses enjoyed by both my wife and I

Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Recommend the pigeon starter and the pork main. If meal time is important to you book a table ahead as it is very popular.
