The Sherrifmuir Inn never disappoints, excellent friendly welcome as usual, and lovely food, tender steak in the pie and lovely crisp batter on the fish.

My boyfriend and I were staying locally on New Years Day and were looking for a place to have dinner. Most places were closed due to the holiday, but we happened to come across the Sheriffmuir Inn restaurant. The restaurant had a very warm and cozy atmosphere; although the country smell was a little off-putting at first. The staff and... More

Hidden on the moors down a narrow road that looks like it is going nowhere, this restaurant has a good menu offering good choice. The interior of the restaurant is nicely done with a warm feeling. Food is good and servings of a decent size. For somewhere a little out of the ordinary, worth traveling a little out of your... More

Visited with friends and family. Three smaller children 6,7 and 9, two teenagers and four adults. Menu was full of mouth watering variety with something for everyone and a great deal of sharing. Pulled pork, fish and beef all got rave reviews. Cinnamon brioche and sticky toffee pudding were also very more-ish. Guest beer, Santa's Swallie. There was a second... More

Visited with a colleague last week. Extensive menu, quite traditional. Food was fine, service good BUT we were halfway through our main course before either of us mentioned the food - unusual as normally that would be our main topic of conversation. Our choices just didn't inspire, there was no "wow" factor. Maybe unlucky on the night, but out of... More

Visited this remote restaurant / inn with a party of 6. What a fantastic location, great atmosphere and importantly, serving fantastic quality food and drink. The waitresses and host couldn't be more helpful. The food is of a high standard, reasonably priced, with a good selection of wines to complement. I personally would recommend the Cullen Skink for a starter,... More

Such a good night, great staff, a all so friendly and up for a laugh! Food was wholesome and tasty, lovely easy ambience... Just wish it was a wee bit nearer the route home.... maybe a wee drop off at the station service would be an idea? All in all, will be back soon !

Had a meal here on Saturday evening, 25th October, with friends from Yorkshire. As always, the meal, atmosphere and staff were excellent. We ate heartily from the specials and a la carte menus between us. Home Made soup Mussels, Scallops, Fillet Steaks, Black Pudding Mash, Cullen Skink. All of them sampled and all of them excellent. I personally had the... More

We discoverd this brilliant place during our stay in Braco last year, and were only too pleased to return this year. Took my aunt (from Falkirk) for a "pre" birthday lunch here and we had several evening meals over the course of the week. Warm and freindly, they allow Jessie (the Jack) to come in and it is well worth... More
