Where other locals go out to eat!

A very relaxed, warm atmosphere. Has a full bar. Menu extensive...many specials. Enjoyed Cullen Skink- delicious, the venison and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The service was excellent. The only Caveat...get really definitive directions if coming from Stirling. This establishment if not near... read more

Stunningly sited high in the Ochils the view is gorgeous. The decor is traditional, high quality, bar looks warm and inviting - we booked and got there a little early and I suggested we sit in the bar until the table was ready (we were the only customers at that point) this was ignored, then I was told I should... No diner likes to be made to feel they are an inconvenience. This is how we were made to feel when we dropped into the Sheriffmuir Inn for a late lunch. Not only were we ignored at the door by the manageress, we were then abruptly and unhelpfully herded into the bar, then ignored again, then eventually the manageress almost... More

Dropped in on the way home to Stirling having spent the day in Crieff. The first visit to the inn for several years and will be the last too. Four adults and one child.... The Moroccan lamb was dry, but otherwise edible. The wagyu beef did not do the poor cow justice and the BBQ sauce serve with pork belly... More

The Inn is a bit of a drive for me but worth the effort. I have been a fan for many years and it has never disappointed. They always have a choice of real ales and it feels like half rural pub / restaurant. Do not miss the sticky toffee pudding.

Remarkably extensive menu, plus a 'big' specials blackboard. Vegetarian's needs well catered. Service was personal, friendly generally quite slick. All the dishes I saw were well presented. Cooking was, overall, good with no complaints from the group of eight people in my party (apart from the minuscule cheese/toast bit on the top of the French OnionSoup). Just a bit pricey,... More

Visited recently and the pub was empty!!! Personally I think they need Gordon Ramsey to come and sort this place out! An extensive menu but its all frozen and pre-prepared. The fresh fish of the day was the frozen fish of the day. Really they should cut the menu down and keep it fresh. And whilst we are about it... More

Very friendly and relaxed place to meet friends and eat. An extensive menu but retaining some of their classic dishes (Cullen Skink).

Agree with previous reviewer..Cullen Skink totally fabulous! The décor and environment were relaxing and comfortable with really unusually designed furniture. The food was all beautiful and our only problem was deciding what to order. The service was perfect helping us enjoy a totally relaxed evening that left us wanting to stay longer. The location was beautiful and the drive to... More

We had lunch here prior to a wedding in June and I don't think I've ever had a bit of beef as good - huge compliments to Jeff the chef! The views from Sheriffmuir are beautiful and it feels like such a lovely, secluded location; even though, you're not really that far from Dunblane! The staff are a credit to... More
