This is a welcoming watering hole in the desolate hills above Dunblane. It offers year-round hospitality with outdoor seats for the summer and an open fire for the winter. With tantalising food, together with local brews on tap, this is a destination pub which offers the punter traditional Scottish fare. The milk churn bar stools and the aroma of sheep’s... More

This is one of my favourite haunts. I love the chairs, and the mix if contemporary and traditional design. We had great food (duck and rice pudding for me, chicken and sticky toffee pudding for my friend) both were excellent and the staff were very friendly.

I have been visiting this restaurant since I went to Uni nearby and it still never fails to deliver. The views are out of this world, you feel like your on top of the world. The staff are friendly and the food, which is mainly traditional Scots or British is well worth the trip. I had two starters instead of... More

This is a fabulous place to eat. Great menu, lovely staff and the very best food. Well worth the drive, it is a little remote but in a beautiful setting. The fish and chips are fantastic!

We called in for a drink and if after our drink, we thought we may stay for a meal, last month (July 2014) on a warm Sunday afternoon. Haven't visited here for a couple of years despite it not being far from home. Unfortunately we were not at all encouraged either by the welcome by the owner, which was definitely... More

4 of us recently visited this restaurant and It is worth taking a detour for. Extensive menu, with a good choice of local dishes, meats or fish, service was very good and the food was delicious.

We have been traveling in Scotland for 3 weeks and finally discovered this true gem of a restaurant. The best meal by far since our travels. I had the slow cooked pork, and others in my party had the venison, lamb shank slow cooked and the steak with a mushroom sauce. Everyone raved about how excellent everything was prepared. The vegetables... More

Three of us visited the Inn during the recent art festival - the staff made us welcome and we had plenty of time to view the paintings and have coffee. We have sampled the menu on several previous occasions and have always been delighted by the standard and variety of the fare. A tip if you haven't booked a table... More

Sheriffmuir Inn is worth a detour for seasonal, fresh, flavoursome food. As a three generation party of seven, we visited early on a Saturday evening. Everyone found something to tempt them on the a la carte menu or specials board. Some had three courses and coffee, others just one course, but this proved no problem with courses being served quickly... More
