Good Pre-Theatre

For a change we thought we would go to Nam for a pre-theatre dinner. There is a choice of Vietnamese or Cantonese menus. There were no European dishes on offer. Three 3 courses for £11.95 is good value. For my starter I had spare ribs Peking style. The dish was beautifully presented and the ribs... read more

Absolutely amazing food, some of the dishes on the menu are really unusual but everything I've tried has been so tasty. Best beef satay I have ever eaten without a doubt. The sweet chilli oil type sauce that comes with crispy king prawns is sweet and spicy, it's to die for! Staff are always really friendly and attentive without being... More

For past few months take away has been more miss than hit : ( Is there a new chef or something? The noodles in chow mein haven't seen a wok. This based on several meals it seems that it's joined the mediocrity of East KIlbride's takeaway scene.

On arrival found the place very impersonal crammed in like sardines, you could probably join in conversations with your neighbouring table, was shown to our seat by waiter who didn't speak very good english and couldn't understand much of our requests. We found most of the menu to be Chinese, with not much of the Vietnamese food we were hoping to try,we were asked... We have been eating at Nam's for several years and for some reason had never written a review so here it is. In this instance there were three of us and we went for the pre-theatre meal which is excellent value. You can choose from either a Vietnamese menu or a Cantonese menu. For starters I had diced salted chilli... More

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago, had the sizzling steak satay and fried rice. Very tasty, would definitely go back! Great value as well on the lunch menu

Food was nice but I did not receive a knife which I thought was bizarre!! I recommend the Vietnamese pudding as I savoured and enjoyed every bite of the gorgeous food. A few criticisms is that anytime I asked what a certain dish was- the waiter did not know! Also my change from the bill should have been £7.10 but... More

Smaller than I expected, felt cramped. Loud, so if you want a romantic night or a catch up its not ideal, and the people beside you will hear your convo. I expected a great meal but I found it only to be adequate and my lemonade was room temperature in a warm glass, wasn't enough for my meals and I... More

Although I enjoyed my meal, the time we had to wait between courses is unacceptable. It's happened on each occasion we've eaten here. Staff do not seem happy and no wonder, they don't get the tips you leave for them. Shocking and in my opinion pure greed from the owners, as the staff tend to be young people trying to... More
