Excellent meals but slow service

We have not been to the Devonshire Arms for sometime because the meals were cold and it took an hour to get them. This time the meals were hot and excellent but it took 55 minutes. So if you have the time and you're not hungry then this is a great place because when the meal arrives the... read more

Had a lovely lunch in the downshire arms beefeater in bracknell. Staff were very welcoming and cheerful. Food was yummy and well presented. Well worth another visit before going on to spend a sunny afternoon in one of the pleasant parks around Bracknell.

We used this as part of an overnight deal with the attached Premier Inn, (which was absolutely fine). We decided to eat in this Beefeater for two reasons, 1. We had just driven 150 miles and didn't want to go looking for somewhere else to eat and also have a drink. 2. The menu offered a good selection of vegetarian... More

I read some of the reviews before going to the restaurant and like the grill, they were mixed. It's not a bad looking restaurant (outside and in) and was fairly quiet in terms of numbers inside. The staff were good and attentive and the food was tasty and acceptable for its price. The only downside was a large group celebrating... More

We decided to call in for a meal whilst driving home from a day out. The host could not have been friendlier and was very welcoming but it was a shame that the rest of the dining experience fell short of basic expectations. It was so cold we had to put our coats back on and both main meals were... More

The outside of this Beefeater didn't look too promising, but we needed to feed a five year old so gave it a try. Turns out the inside was much nicer. Staff were really friendly and attentive but the food wasn't an experience we would repeat. Mixed grill contained chewy, but tasty, steak and chicken that looked like chicken but had... More

The Premier Inn attached to the Downshire Arms is great for the location but the actual Beefeater pub itself actually lets the whole experience down. I have eaten at the Downshire Arms several times within the last 6 months whilst staying overnight with business and have found a repeated list of issues that have occurred on each visit: - The... Stopped here while passing through for a quick bite for dinner with the kids. Used to love going to the Ham and Blackbird, Farnborough, for birthdays as a kid and can't say I've been to a Beefeater since. We weren't expecting Cordon Bleu cooking so entered into this adventure with our eyes wide open. I was pleasantly with the food.... More

Went this Sunday for lunch and took the grandchildren. Seated straight away. I had the mixed grill which was ok apart from the steak way overdone and couldn't eat it. high chair given to my grandson was dirty and so were the cutlery.overall the place looks dirty and wouldn't visit again.

Eaten here many times as its an easy option close to home, always had very good service and decent food, order the nachos as the cheese sauce is unreal love the stuff have it pretty much every time as a side or starter. Good burgers and steaks and plenty to choose from for my other half who is a veggie.... More
