Good but !

I have been visiting Zen for 4 or 5 years. Loved the sushi, but for our main both my daughter and myself went with our usual a beef tenderloin. They have changed it! The quality of the beef wasn't stunning and the lack of sauce didn't make for a nice dish. Manager was very good and replaced using... read more

Been to loads of Japanese restaurants and they are always great fun with the chefs the main entertainment however ive had more fun at my aunty Nells funeral. This place has no atmosphere, is over priced and got our bill wrong twice.

The sushi is one of the best we ever had. Visited twice in one week. Nobu San rocks. Sympathetic crew and charming owner. You cannot go wrong. Not cheap but worth it. If you want cheap....don't dine. Go to Mc Donalds.

We did not book but stumbled into Zen. We were told all the tables were booked but we could sit in the area where a chef cooks for you....not sure if it was to get us to spend more money but we sat & ordered some items from the menu & some for the chef to cook. After a good... More

Dear Reviewer. Thank you for your feedback. We do endeavour to follow up on our "genuine" customers’ input; consequently we always take “constructive complaints” seriously. However up to date we are still wondering about the level of your comment constructivity since this was limited to our booking system, which with all due respect, does not pertain to our guests. Love my Japanese food and I was not disappointed eating here. There is lots of variety but also there were plenty of sushi and sushimi boxes to chose from. Naturally the fish was fresh as this is an Island and the staff like nearly all Japanese restaurants, very attentive and friendly. You should love it here. Thanks and if you... More

Soft ambience, the staff is very helpful and gentle. Tempura was fried at perfection and sushi was great. Not that pricey if you look where it is, the quality is superb. Only point the green tea, served in a very small cup and tasting too strong.

This place is striking you firstly because is exquisitely decorated and because you are welcomed by the waitresses in these lovely authentic style kimonos with bows and even wooden shoes. we sat a regular table as we had mainly sushi (4 different types), mixed vegetable tempura and the recommended cheesecake for dessert. everything was delicious and very well presented. Lovely place. The service was wonderful - the waitresses wear beautiful kimonos and are all so sweet and friendly. I sat at the table where they prepare the sushi in front of you and the chefs were super friendly too! The sushi was excellent. Some of the best I've ever had. I especially recommend the seared salmon starter - delicious!... More
