Raffael's location is superb, but that is all you get. We had made a booking for a family dinner (party of 5) a couple of days earlier, which reservation was accepted by the staff member who answered the phone. We were also very clear that we wanted to dine at the Raffael (since the company owns other eateries in the... More

After looking around trying to catch the eye of one of the staff to get seated we were eventually told to seat ourselves in a passing comment. We finally managed to make our presence known to one of the staff manically dashing around, at which point we were treated like more of a hassle than a guest. The table still... More

We went here this evening and felt compelled to review immediately. What a waste of time and money. We had been to many restaurants in the St. Julian area, which were superb, and would recommend any others before this. Firstly, the service was, like the previous reviews, slow and inattentive. We were provided breads as an appetiser, but then were... More

Chose to eat here because of its Maltese specialities and harbour-side location but service was terrible from the outset. No acknowledgement from staff when we entered the restaurant. They were slow to take our order then didn't bring any food for about 50 minutes. Ordered bread to start which they forgot about and was dry when it did arrive and... More

I had my dinner here one evening. Ordered a starter of garlic bread which arrived quite quickly, but then had to wait 30 minutes for my main course to arrive. This was possibly due to a party of about ten people having just arrived before me, but two ladies on the next table ordered their meals after me and had... More

Very busy restaurant with very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely waterfront location. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

The location is beautiful, looking over Spinola Bay. The restuarant looked nice so we decided to eat there during our first night in town. Overall service was possibly the worst we had during our holiday in Malta although few of the guys bringing drinks made some jokes and were friendly so still not bad.

Always a little crowded, but generally good. Service is okay as well. Touristy prices, but food is good (except the salads, they are a little small).

In all fairness I didn't even manage to have my lunch and here's the reason. In a perfectly quiet restaurant the "manager" took over 10min to acknowledge me and another couple of customers. After gravely confirming amount of covers and location (inside or terrace) we were barked at with "one moment" and hen left for another 5min whilst he could... More
