It's a little chef so you know what you are getting

Fantastic Olympic breakfast as always at the little chef chain. It's a bit dated but I guess that's because it's not busy and at £7.99 it's good value.

We went here for breakfast on Sunday morning. The decor here is quite shocking. It looks like the place hasn't be decorated since it first opened. Food stains on the wall, chairs and tables looking years old For breakfast we ordered the "create your own breakfast". I had fried toast, beans, hash browns and sauteed potatoes. Although nice, the potatoes... More

We stayed at the Alfreton Travelodge and this Little Chef was attached to the hotel. Honestly we would have gone if it was a few miles away as it is one of my wife's favourite places. We went for dinner and then breakfast the morning after. The food is good and the staff were very friendly.

Having to trudge through burger king to get in is a little weird. The 1970s decor was a throwback to a bygone era. Ladies do a fantastic job putting the cooked breakfast on, and the morning was rather busy. Food was great, was initially put off by the reviews but you are a captive market when with kids on a... I know its a little chef so you should not be expecting 5 star dining but this place was TERRIBLE! We found ourselves arriving here at around 2pm on Boxing Day afternoon. It was totally empty with just one member of staff on who was busy hoovering in the middle of the foyer. Having checked that the place was indeed... More

We had had a tortuous journey up the M6 and had to work our way from Telford to Chesterfield which is why we found ourselves in the middle of nowhere at this Little Chef. It was empty although the Burger King next door was doing a roaring trade. My partner had a toasty and I settled for a toasted tea... More

My Dad and I stopped off here for a bit en route to Stoke and of course we expected to over pay for food here but expected it to be good. I have to say that the Works Buger I had, thier speciality burger, was the worst ive ever had. It was dry, over cooked and tough as old boots.... More

Expensive and average-quality fast food with deceptive policy of charging extras. The best thing about this place is the free Wi-fi to avoid paying the fees at Travel lodge! I had two meals there: the lunch of baked potatoes and salad was quite good ith a nice glass of wine. However the breakfasts are expensive and best avoided. I chose... More

Poor service and poorly cooked, overpriced food, need I say more. Why are all of the staff at Little Chefs so surly?

Stopped there for a breakfast on the way back from Darwin forest holiday park, its next to the travel lodge which appears to be ok, inside it's very run down, the toilets are just disgusting and the staff don't seem to know what they are doing and are rude. Save yourself the awful visit and don't go.
