Visted last night for the first time and it won't be the last. My husband and I enjoyed a 3 course meal with drinks, followed by coffee for under £45. The food was faultless, excellent quality, my steak was cooked to perfection and beautifully tender, the service was very efficient and the staff very polite. Everyone seemed to have a... More

Visited this evening with two friends good food, good service and good overall experience. Although the meal was not expensive i have had better italians which are cheaper. It was enjoyable but the food lacked anything specifically special.

A friend of my wife told her that there is only one place to eat in Sunderland and that is Ristorante Luciano. My wife and I did the 12mile Bedes Way walk for Chistian Aid. I decided to book whilst having lunch on Cleadon Hill Windmill and I am pleased I did. We went for happy hour which has its... More

Came up from the south for a family meal so first time visit to Luciano. After walking in and seeing the grubby decor on the stairs I was relieved to find that it was much better decorated upstairs. It was very busy as it was happy hour with cheaper meals. It was also very noisy so not suitable for a... More

Never a bad a meal from lucianos, waiters are fantastic and so friendly. Highly recommended. Does get very busy, but that's what you expect from a good restaurant.

Not impressed. Food was hot but took a million years to arrive. Very loud and busy. Staff seemed to have no time to give any attention. Had to stand and wait 25 mins after table booking time. Will never go back

If you want authentic Italian, with a great atmosphere and brilliant Italian waiters...look no further, Me and my family have been going here for years and it never loses it's charm. The decor resembles a lovely rustic Italian restaurant, the food is amazing!!!. Steak medallions and lasagna are to die for and the prices are very reasonable, especially on the... More

Visited on Sunday 4th May after having had it recommended. Will not be recommending it to others, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. We were seated on the edge of the main dining area, instead of with all the other diners. No idea why, no apparent reason and the people who came in after us were placed in the main... More

After booking a table for four people for 5.45pm, arriving, sitting down, being served a drink each, it took another 25 minutesbefore someone came back to take our food order but we didn't get our main course served till just before 7pm. As we had to be at the nearby theatre for a 7.30 start, we were not impressed. Yes,... More
