We just dipped in quickly for a pair of crepes-- one chocolate with coconut and another butter and caramel. Both were made with good ingredients and the crepe itself was very well done. The place is small and attractive and nicely attended. If we had stayed more in Foix, I would have returned for a full meal. They do a... More

Whilst it is always wonderful to discover a pokey restaurant that produces surprisingly heavenly food, Gaia almost takes this to the extreme. The tiny restaurant is split in to a dining area and a small kitchen connected via a hatch. Somehow, inside this tiny space the chef produces perfect little meals, leaving them to be picked up by his enigmatic... More

Had the soufflé and the daily special for lunch. A delight. Just the right amount of food for lunch. The curried chicken had a light yogurt cucumber sauce which was a nice addition. Would highly recommend.

Great food! My mother had a fresh tomato and pesto tart that was amazing and I had their exceptional Rochefort soufflé. Yum! Mains were chicken breast with foie gras, also wonderful. The chef has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and really knows his stuff. The owners are British and Australian, yet in only 8 years in Foix they have become the... More

Having eaten here originally in 2009 and being very impressed with the quality of the cuisine, it seemed only fit that my significant other and I pay another visit to establish what we originally discovered. The welcome that is provided by Vicki and John is warm, the produce that John uses is first rate, the advice and explanation of the... More

We loved the Gaia so much that we came back again the next week and plan to go back this summer. Beautifully cooked food from a short menu and a great choice of wine. Strongly advise booking!

I wouldn't have found this place unless it was for TA. Moreover, even when we got there I was dubious as it's a quite uninspiring place. However, we'd booked, and so we continued in. A simple, good value menu was executed perfectly. A really light Roquefort Souffle started off, and a great chicken breast with mushrooms and foie gras followed.... More

Tired of the same ol' confit of duck and cassoulet that sits on your stomach like a brick for the rest of the day. Here, it's different. Light, refreshing, interesting, this restaurant offers a fantastic alternative to the rest of the local restaurants. The food is always made with fresh ingredients ans is great value for money!!

We took TripAdvisor advice and booked for our meal, which was just as well as many drop ins were turned away while we were in the tiny Restaurant Gaia. The food was excellent: fresh local ingredients, carefully prepared with flair. As for value, I felt it was extraordinary - our meal was €75 including a bottle of wine, a couple... More
