Great meat!

The meat was absolutely delicious with an excellent selection (including the choice between well done or a rare beef!) I would go a far to say the best meat I've had at a carvery! such a shame it was left down by veg over cooked veggies :( I would have given 3 stars but it was excellent for the... read more

We have eaten here since the owner Colin moved from his last pub , purely down to fact that his Sunday carvery is one of the best we have ever had. The waitresses are so helpful every time we go in. You will not go anywhere else once you have tried this Sunday lunch I promise and the desert is... More

Me and my partner came here on a Wednesday evening and the staff were lovely and settled us right in. The food was very good and extremely reasonable, with a good beer selection.

Had a very enjoyable meal here, service was great and food came out hot and delicious. I opted for the hot chicken curry, portion size was big and came with chips, rice and a papadom (everything you want from a curry). A great choice of deserts, if I hadn't been so full from my main the apple crumble looked amazing.... More

Excellent Food and value for Money. My partner and I visit the Bear Inn on a regular basis, mostly for Sunday lunch. Colin and his team never fail in producing an excellent Sunday lunch along with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I would certainly recommend anyone visit and experience this for themselves. First Class!

The food here is excellent value and is always cooked beautifully. Its very rare you find a fillet steak with homemade chips and sauce for around £15! Service is always prompt and friendly. Would especially recommend the Sunday carvery, always a choice of 4 meats and the gravy is amazing!

Had an amazing meal today in the Bear Inn. Fabulous food as usual, great service, very friendly. Colin went out of his way to do a very generous portion of cheese and biscuits for my Mum which we all enjoyed. I highly recommend this place to go whether it be for a Sunday carvery lunch, an evening meal or a... More

I eat here all the time, home made chips are a plenty! They cater for all tastes, menu includes duck, venison, lamb steaks and then all the usual! The Sambuca sauce is a must try! Mushrooms in stilton sauce is delicious and I hate stilton!!! Carvery on a Sunday lovely and fab value. I would highly recommend!!!!

Found the Inn by chance, and boy was it worth it. A good friendly 'locals' pub. Standard good bar menu, but the blackboard menu is excellent and not over priced at all. The food was perfect and plently of it, could not be faulted at all, in fact we went back the following day instead of going somewhere else. The... More
