Welcoming friendly pub

Drove past the pub on our way out from Bromley for a walk around Chevening - called in on our way back for a very good pub lunch. Don't go expecting haute cuisine but do go for the warm friendly welcome - although the place was very busy on a bank holiday Monday they had plenty of people serving... read more

I am not one for writing reviews, however more and more people use it to only leave negative feedback. Therefore it is important to filter them out with positive reviews. The blacksmith arms is a typical country pub, it is a relaxed atmosphere with great staff.

This pub is a delight to the eyes and the taste buds. The owners floral displays are beautiful and the food is extremely good. One of the best lamb dinners we have had for some time, everything hot, well cooked and plenty of it. We shall return.

We visit this charming pub from time to time and as always the welcome was very pleasant. We chose the pan fried scallops with Parma ham and spinach served on a bed of linguini with a cream sauce, a superb dish which we have eaten on previous occasions. The scallops were delicious but our enjoyment of the dish was somewhat... More

For some unknown reason, we had not visited this excellent Country Pub for three years. The ambience is traditional and very welcoming. A wide ranging menu is available and the food served is both excellent and plentiful. The ideal venue for a Pub Lunch after a morning exploring the lovely local countryside.

The Blacksmiths Arms is a classic country pub in the village of Cudham - inside, the ceiling is low, there's a fire burning, lots of cosy corners etc. Easily reached by several footpaths this would make a great stop on a rambling day out, or if you're driving there's a good sized car park at the rear. There's a selection... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this Pub for a drink by the fire and then a meal. A proper Country Pub, with great service and hospitality and beautifully cooked food. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sirloin Steak, and delicious Chicken Curry followed by Apple Crumble with custard and cream. Yum. We will return. Thank you Blacksmiths Arms.

Three of us popped Into the Blacksmiths Arms for lunch last Saturday. We checked first as we'd been walking with our 2 spaniels and both they and us were somewhat muddy! We were told that dogs are welcomed. The pub was lovely and warm, a real fire was burning and there was a really good atmosphere. None of us could... More

I had been planning to eat here for a good few weeks and I'm very glad that I finally have. The Pub was very busy & the restaurant was fully booked which is brilliant to see on a Tuesday. I ordered a Sirloin Steak and was very pleased with it. It was slightly expensive in my opinion but for the... More

Just got back from Blacksmith Arms, food was just ok, had roast beef, bit tough, roast potatoes had just been lightly warmed, not much veg and the smallest Yorkshire pudding I've ever had in a restaurant. The pub was really cold, I first asked a young member of staff why the pub was so cold? and got told the oil... More

I must apologize to the lady who felt cold in the restaurant. I do feel that when she complained about the pub being cold, much more should have been done on her behalf & i am very angry that no member of staff (old or young)apologized to her or offered to move her to a table nearer the log fire...
