Just saw the sign for the CAMRA pub at the turn off to Bulwick. Sat outside in the sunshine watching swallows returning with food to their Nest and a red kite hovering overhead - a perfect day and a perfect location. Had the homemade pie with mash and veg - swede, peas and leeks. This was followed by tarte citron... More

Came here and done the 3 course lunch for 19.99, not bad value if I'm honest. Salmon starter was great, the carvery was lacking something slightly and could do with a bit more food on the plate. overall I liked it but was still hungry after it, Worth a visit though.

We popped in on the off chance and the pub was very busy but made to feel welcome and we were found a table so we could eat. If the weather is good there is a great outdoor area to sit. We both had the burger which was excellent and the service was good without being over the top. This... More

Visited the pub whilst staying at the campsite near by. Warm welcome on both evenings, made you feel as though you were a local as opposed to a stranger, even remembered our drinks on the 2nd visit. Great food, we will certainly be back

Tuesday night is steak night well worth a vist. Good real ales and food. Rob is a great host and the staff are friendly. A genuine pizza oven in the garden for the summer.

Friendly landlord and staff. Delicious food and wide voice of ales. A must if eating in the area. Highly recommended.

Have had lunch 2 or 3 times recently - proper country pub with a good range of beer and reasonable wine. simple menu with something for everyone and very pleasant service. Dog friendly as well which also make s it feel like a proper pub, rather than some marketing persons view of what a pub should be.

Having not been for a while, partly becasue of being frightened away by the previous short -lived landlords, I was really pleased to find the Queen's Head back to being what it should be. It is a wonderful pub with a landlord, Rob, who remembers the value of old fashioned hospitality. We were looked after with genuine care and attention.... More
