Delicious!

Whilst visiting Quintay we decided to eat in this restaurant quite by chance - mainly because we saw that there were a lot of people eating there. We had fresh hake - it was delicious! The best fish that we ate in Chile! Wonderful views too of the sea and the pelicans. Just great!

Our guide took us to this restaurant in Quintay, overlooking a small beach. He said we needed to be there before 1 - which we were. By the time we left, they were lined up outside waiting for a table. Food is fresh and good. The restaurant is a "beach" restaurant, very casual. If you are driving down the coast,... More

Having already visited another restaurant in the area and been disappointed, I was sceptical as to the quality of this one. However, it was dramatically better, with excellently prepared & presented food. The quantity was also a surprise; all our plates were very full and 4 of us actually requested a 'doggy bag' which did us another meal each! As... More

The seaside fishing village of Quintay is very cute and we had been told Miramar was the place to eat. We had to put our names in a waitlist as the place is very popular. We ordered a salmon and a local dish of baked clams in a creamy parmesan sauce. The salmon was white instead of pink salmon which... More

Miramar restaurant sits right on the beach and serves very LARGE portions of fish. Ask which dishes are freshest and recommended by the locals. I had the pastel de jaibas, which is translated as "crab cake", but is essentially a big pot of bubbling cheesy crab. I still dream of this dish!

Probably one of the best value in seafood restaurants in the central coast of chile. Been there lots of times with family and friends. Best plates are "machas a la parmesana", "pastel de jaibas", "chupe de locos", "congrio a la plancha o frito". The main difference with other restaurants are the size of the plates (1 its really enough! Even... More

Ok so first thing first, if you're looking for seafood, this is a must, BUT let's narrow that "must", if you're looking for a gourmet meal, don't even bother in going there (btw, i'm not saying that in a bad mood), this is a fishing creek! so the plates are huge! and not that fancy tiny plates that you may... We had good food, good service and a great view. 4 of us went at lunchtime. We shared 2 appetizers and 2 main courses. The crab in a creamy cheese sauce served piping hot was great and the scallops in garlic sauce we also very yummy. For main we had two different types of fish with fries. They were large... More
